'15 GA DT Quentez Johnson (NC State commit)

Good point. It's likely a handful of current commitments don't end up signing with UT for whatever reasons and a handful more will sign that aren't currently even on the VN radar.

I agree even Doug Matthews said handful will not sign. Our class will only get better. I happens every year

I mean does it have to be?

Could all the kids who committed like their decision?

Could the staff have not been diligent in making sure the kids they were taking were looking good grade/qualifying wise?

Could all the current commits look good as SRs this year?

If so, could they not end up Vols?

Add McKenzie, Richmond, Sapp, Ordway, Jones, and Phillips and we good to go!!

:loco:

Leb has either cracked or he is being forced to post against his will. Leb blink twice if you are under duress.

Picou is a bull. He's gained a ton of weight since his film, too. Picou is a great pick-up in his own right.

2013 Junior Highlights - Quay Picou highlights

Sometimes folks want to take Rivals / ESPN's evaluations over CBJ's evaluation. I tend to think CBJ and company are more highly compensated and have a lot more invested in the limited number of recruits they are wanting compared to the recruiting services who are attempting to follow the nations recruits. CBJ may rate Picou higher than Settle, Tuttle or Jones although I'd be shocked if McKenzie isn't the top of the DT board - JMO.

Way to early to wory about numbers it's July. Good chance most of the current commits don't sign come signing day.

So, your saying over 50% of our current commits will sign elsewhere? Yeah, ok.

I said most not 50% you said that. It's common sense some of the early commits we have at this point may not sign in February. It also my be someone we arnt thinking of. It happened last year it does every year

You understand what the definition of 'most' is, right? It generally implies more than half.

How you came to that conclusion is beyond me

Not being a smart butt, but most implies a majority, which would be greater than 50%. That's what your OP sounded like you were implying. A few or a handful may have been more appropriate, as Ron said, in which I would completely agree. :hi:

This was priceless.

What about the numbers...has he accepted 24-25 now?

It looks like the plan is 24. I just wanted to see the staff would actually over sign especially by that much all along setting up some VFL's to be forced out. It does appear the staff will do it.

The fact that they have now taken 18 commitments with only 16 spots(as of today) seems to support it as well. I'm reasonable. I can see it as possible now.

Of course if Matthews is right and the staff already has (2-4) current commits who would not sign, then they are not technically over. I'm not sure I see 2-4 kids who are sure things to end up elsewhere. Maybe 1, but that's it as of now.

FYP. We would take both of those guys and McKenzie. I still feel pretty good about Tuttle regardless.

No thanks. I like my original post the way I said it. I have thought for some time that we are only taking three DTs this cycle… Kahlil, now Picou, and one more. If QJ committs to us, then I think it means bad news on DJ and Tuttle. If the staff feels good about one of those two, then I think QJ commits to NC State.

I'd be fine with just McKenzie and Picou IF we miss/no room/pass on Settle, Tuttle, Jones. No reason to reach on a guy who IMO would not be a factor much.

Are you ok taking Kamara, Reid, and Bruce?

Lol, I had to read this slowly to figure out what was being said. I think that adds to the affect.

Most... maybe even over 50% of posters will have to read it slowly. Some won't.... I won't name names. :cough: volfrk86 :cough:

With the quality of players we are still in on, would you consider the Bruce commitment a head scratcher?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Not at all. Why scratch your head? The kid attended camp, balled out, and was offered a scholarship. He committed and the staff took it. Why over analyze it? It was not based off film(which his is great). They took him after seeing him in person. IMO no reason to scratch my head over it. JMO
