'15 GA DT Trenton Thompson

I'd like to go ahead and thank Butch Jones and the vol coaching staff for keeping UT of the top 4. Our chances are much better now the UT has kept themselves out of the top 4 for Thompson.

Still butthurt that Pat Allen isn't a take for us, I see. Sorry that Richmond is higher on UT's board :dunno:

Apparently TT doesnt go to any camps. Thats the reason why his rank is falling. Plus the reason why several recruits called him out on twitter

If I were a HS coach and had a kid that was being recruited by everybody in the country I would not let him either. Nothing to gain and everything to lose, I couldn't care less about rankings.

Nothing to gain other than good coaching and an opportunity to get better.

This could apply to a lot of recruits every year and is a stupid argument.

That's chicken s***... The best players test themselves against the elite so they know exactly where they stand relative to the best competition and what they may need to work on...Thompson would have been nothing more than the 2nd best DT at The Opening and he knew it. At least by not showing up he can let Dawg fans kid themselves into thinking he is even half as good as Kahlil.

After the opening UGA can have Thompson. The real #1 DT in the country is committed to UT anyway. I will take McKenzie over Thompson all day every day.

I know, man. That was a shot at those dufus UGA d-bags. You'd think the fans of a team that hasn't won ANYTHING in 30 years would have learned to show a little humility or at least stay on a board of their own. Guess they're just too stupid to figure it out. I've said it before: get your shots in now, because we will be beating you on the regular soon enough.

It's finally happened. You win.

This has got to be the biggest, lamest, most butt hurt wad of bull **** yet posted on this site.

Congratulations.

Oh, and if there is ever an UGA commit that does well at a camp, I fully expect you to explain how irresponsible his coach was for allowing him to go to a camp.

So what would this board have thought if your highly ranked DT goes to a camp and blows out a knee. It's ok because he went out and competed against the elite players in the country in a meaningless camp.

Compete against elite talent? What do you think you'll be doing when you play college ball!

Some players have to compete in different camps if they want to earn offers, they don't have a choice. But it makes no sense to camp around everywhere if you already have offers from just about everybody in the country. Risk vs reward.

In Khalil's case, he'll be blasting through that silky soft Georgia o-line on his way to the qb and another under achieving season for Richt.

Maybe there's a good UGA board I can go to and brag about Shy Tuttle and Drew Richmond likely ending up Vols....

Then again, I sometimes think crack sounds like a good idea until I reconsider...

I'm pretty sure Richt will be happy with Trenton.

Sure, he's a good player. It reminds of when a Dawg fan I knew was thumping his chest over the DT tandom of Stroud and Seymour while we had Haynesworth and Henderson...It does make me wish Tuttle would hurry up and commit because there will be some Dawg fans doing some woofing now.

Competition breeds success no matter how highly touted a recruit you are. I do agree camping isn't necessary but definitely helps. The excuse that a recruit could blow out a knee or get so e other type of injury is bologna though. They're controlled environments, that baring freak accidents, are in the best interest of the recruits safety. I don't knock Thompson for not camping. He was injured. It's understandable. But don't come on to a rival board, who have a good number of recruits that attend camps, and say they're meaningless because your guy passes on attending. Good luck with Thompson. I think he's a good pick up for you guys.

If Thompson was highly interested in UT then you would be trashing him for not going to camps. Nobody is buying the BS you're trying to sell.
