Eh, Myles Garrett did the same last year presumably to stay healthy. He did one camp/game and it was the UA AA game. He dominated.

Trent is more of a solid player, high floor but not extremely high ceiling.

Kahlil is high floor and Snoop Dogg on 4/20 high ceiling.

UGA insider, you should look at the opening videos if you think Pettibon needs work.

You will see in the 1v1's Pettibon does excellent vs all the big time 4 and 5* DT's at the opening.

The only guy that could beat him was Khalil Mckenzie, and as you see Khalil doesn't just beat guys he completely dominates them.

There is another 1v1 between them where Khalil basically picks him up and throws him down, followed by rep of the clip you just saw, along with a rep where Khalil anticipates that Pettibon is trying to dig in and lean forward to match KH's bullrush and KH pulls him forward and watches him fall forward into the ground. I myself wanted to dislike Pettibon because he tries to fight Khalil after the rep you just watched, but he is very good vs all the other big time DT's. The baltimore camp, the 5 star challenge and the opening, Pettibon has proven himself.

Now Dallas Warmack the other 4* OG that is going to BAMA, that guy sucks. Talk about overrated because of his last name. TT and Khalil are going to have a field day if Dallas Warmack starts for BAMA.

Anyhow i wouldn't base my opinions on a 1v1 rep vs the best DT in the country in several years. Khalil Mckenzie is on a different level.

I'm a big fan of Trenton Thompson and in any other year he would be the #1 DT, but not this year. Khalil Mckenzie is one of those generational types like Clowney.

You just don't see 340 lb DT's that can move like Khalil and his strength is unparalleled at his age.

If you think this post is my UT orange glasses on, go read some of the twitters of guys that faced Khalil Mckenzie at the past 2 camps he went to this summer.

You will see questions and answers about Khalil from all of the best OL's this year and they all say Khalil is unstoppable. No one enjoyed their reps vs him. Also it helps that Khalil's dad was an NFL great and his technique with his hands is excellent. He has violent hands as well....good grades, smart kid, great work ethic. Total package.

Trenton Thompson is more of a Warren Sapp, John Henderson type of DT, that will get after the QB and try to get up field and penetrate. Khalil with his freakish ability can play the 0, 1 and 3 tech, he can take up blockers and gap control as well as pass rush with the best of them. He is a monster.
