"It's been hectic, honestly. I wasn't expecting these offers and Tennessee at all," Colbert said. "I don't know much about them yet. I'm looking forward to taking a visit down there soon, though."
What he does know about Tennessee, though, is that his cousin, former Vol defensive back Fred White, and he's already talked to White about visiting Knoxville with the former Tennessee national championship winner. "He told me there's nothing like it. He's trying to set something up to where we can all go down there on a visit together," Colbert said. "I was too young to remember when he played but he's shown me some of his rings. My dad told me about when he played there."
Colbert visited Auburn this past weekend and came away with the Tigers as his early leaders and likes the Auburn coaching staff after getting to spend time with them.
"I liked the atmosphere and the coaches. I like all the coaches there," Colbert said. "I talk to all the defensive coaches and some of the offensive coaches because they told me I might be able to play offense. When they call me they are in the meeting room and they pass the phone around and I always talk to coach Malzahn last."
