They are not the same type of receiver. Thats like saying Croom and Pearson are the same type of receiver.

Both are tall receivers. That doesn't matter though. The whole point is where the attention/money/love is spent. This is a diversion tactic. Don't get me wrong, I would take Owens in a heartbeat. However this pursuit makes UGA realize Owens is not a given. I don't care what the recruiting sites day. It's the game within the game.

Or it could be just like OV said. UGA wants to move him to TE and he doesnt like that. OV is well connected in that area.

I think most, if not all, agree that this staff is an elite recruiting staff. They have a strong read on both of these guys and they know the angle of attack. I do not consider Williams a commit. I consider him a strong, strong lean. This is just how I see it.

Certainly plausible. Again, it makes UGA commit to the recruit.

IF they still want him. If they want him as a TE, that probably means they dont think he is up to par at WR for them. And since he doesnt want to play TE, the might not be as interested now.

Not saying this is the case. But it could be a scenario

This is also a recruit seeing where they stand with the program. I don't know Richts policy but a visit shows the team committed to that they have work to do yet. WR has always been the missing piece for UGA. I think we are completely in a win win here at this position. Other positions, dt, are where other teams have the leverage with us.

Sure it is. Who does put their full attention on? Same type of receiver. It makes them choose.

If anyone has to "choose" between Williams and Owens, they should be fired. Picking between those 2 is a no brainer.

They're not even the same type of WR. Williams is capable of doing so much more than Owens.

So Fred White, a friend of the family from the same town and high school, just happened to be roaming the halls at the exact time Christian was on his visit?

This here is the answer to the Preston Williams de commitment to GA if that happens.

This couldn't be further from the truth. Not only has Preston been a commit for a while now, he has constantly re-assured this fan base time and time again. Not to mention we were his favorite team growing up, he has a bond with CZA unlike any other recruiting him, he's a big fan of the school and offense, and he loves CBJ.

Oh, did I mention that he's a UT commit? Just thought I'd throw that in there Angus. But if it gives you something to do then by all means CARRY ON. Just letting your know you're setting yourself up for some serious disappointment if you believe Williams is gonna flip to the Dawgs.

Just a way of hedging the bet that's all. Don't get me wrong, I think Williams is elite but in my opinion if you have to come out and re assure anyone then there's something there. If I lined up jones, butcher, Jennings, and Williams who are you most confident in inking on signing day and least confident in? If you have to "reassure" anyone then there is a reason you feel you need to. These other commits aren't "reassuring " anyone. Again, this is how I feel and obviously you see it differently.
