He tried to commit in the summer as well. I remember it being talked about on Volquest. He was just never high on the staff's board. Sort of like Dexter Neal.

Bingo

Hubbs said he performed poorly at a camp over the summer. He tried to commit shortly after that and was told no. He tried to commit again and was again told no.

On the flip side, Kyle Oliver reportedly had an outstanding camp and was offered and accepted on the spot.

That turned out to be very smart on Oliver because teams like tOSU, FSU and Alabama were close to offering him at the time and are now trying to get involved with him.

Maybe you should try and schedule a meeting with the staff so that they can run their plans by you. You know, to see if they meet your approval.

Yea, because I was clearly bashing their judgement by saying I was courious what their thinking was. How some of you guys have friends in real life is beyond me. If I were going to bash this staff I could think of a lot better subjects to do it on, aka questionably play calling, etc. However, don't let this stop any of you from posting your smart*** comments.

Wow...sarcasm much? I don't think he is dogging the coaches. Simply making an observation. He has a point. My guess is that the staff felt King was more valuable at OLB than TE. However, I do believe as this offense progresses that guys like Creamer and Oliver will function more as H-backs. I almost feel like the coaching staff looks at that as a different position than TE. They will be called TEs but they are actually H-Backs.

Are all these schools recruiting Oliver as a TE? I know Bama is as I saw something not to long ago about Saban calling Oliver about playing TE for them. Oliver is a tweener IMO that could play both. Creamer is the same way. Someone, I'll try to find where I saw it at, compared Oliver to Eric Ebron. Could you imagine having a Ebron in the slot with Malone, North, P.Will, etc on the outside?

I may have not made my point very clear, but I was in no way bashing our coaches. I was simply saying that Oliver and Creamer are split TEs that are made to be receivers. They aren't your traditional TE who's going to line up on the line all the time. I find that to be a little odd as we traditional play Wolf and Helm on the line a lot. So, either Oliver and Creamer are guys that our staff is looking for so they can add new dimension to our offense, or they feel in time both can get big enough to become good enough blockers to play all 3 downs. At this moment, Creamer and Oliver are not 3 down TEs like Wolf and Helm. Oliver has the potential to be very special as a receiving TE. I'm not sure we have ever had a TE recruit like him before.
