If it's a hothead situation that might blow over and be nothing, seems like Mueller might should have sat on the story for a day or so before running out of the meeting and immediately posting the gossip.

I'm guessing the fact that the starting CB job is harder to take than he expected due to incumbent talent, overall discipline required of the team, and then this argument pushed Martin over the edge. Butch doesn't play any games, so he won't put up with the ****.

If Martin's has any maturity about him, he will let his head cool down while he sleeps tonight and then go talk with Butch tomorrow to get this straightened out.

As for Justin Martin rumors, according to multiple people in Nashville and on campus, Martin very much is still on the team.

Today was an emotional, heated day on campus. The Vols were more than midway through a really good summer. There was a mandatory afternoon team meeting. Players and coaches both were very passionate. Martin, I am told emphatically, absolutely remains a Vol and "is thrilled to be here."

Was posted on TOS Butch was calling out the weed smokers. Martin lashed out. He was quickly put in his place by Maggitt and JRM.

This should have remained behind closed doors.

People are lining up to shine Mueller's shoes over him putting this out there.

We don't have to know every little thing that happens...and honestly, as far as locker room heat goes, we SHOULDN'T know.

That stuff should come out when the guys are the old heads telling war stories. Not when some nerd streaks out of a meeting to type it out on his iphone.

Instant information isn't always a good thing. We really had no need to know this.

Like it or not, these guys are young and will do dumb things (I have that tee shirt). I have confidence Butch will do everything to preserve the Tennessee brand.

I posted in the actual thread a similar opinion. When I was in college, we had similar moments in chapter. It's no big deal as it usually works itself out. Greek life didn't have a reason to know nor did the general public. Its a "boys will be boys" type of moment and nothing more. Should've been kept inside.
