To be fair, many people are reporting that a release was signed...It's just that it was just to show who the boss is in a sense. Mueller just jumped the gun on this one.

To your first sentence; nope, not true at all.
Big difference between private citizens who choose to partake, and scholarship athletes at public universities.
The first group is not monitored the way the second group is.
If you're a scholarship athlete at an institution where it is strictly forbidden, and you speak out against the rule / get caught breaking the rule, you are Effing Stupid.
People inside the program would have said the same thing about Pig and Marlin Lane when they were 19. Let's see how he reacts from being put in his place. He could lash out or realize it's go time and become one of future team leaders.
I for one am going to be rooting for him, I love guys that initially don't understand how a great team works then make a change for the better!
Go Vols and Justin Martin!

It's called living and learning, and every single person goes through this throughout their entire lifetime! We all make mistakes...what makes us who we are is do we learn from them and correct them, or be foolish and never learn from them? It's up to the individual, and the comment that Deerpark made is asinine and way too premature, IMHO.
DP has a statistically high chance of being right...but like Bob Mueller last night, he got in too big a hurry. :gone:
He was almost trying to state his opinion as a fact. His comment was unnecessary...you can't predict how an individual responds to discipline, especially when this is 1st time the discipline has been applied to Martin, as far as we know.
Why does it matter? He is giving his opinion just like everyone else on the board does. He just happens to be closer to the program that the average poster.
Which seems to help when getting uniform previews...taking an incident and making a food challenge bet off of it seemed a little haughty. He can be full of it AND close to the program. :wink2:
