'15 JUCO CB Justin Martin (UT Signee 2/4/15)

"I think Tennessee will be tough to beat because of the connections he has to Knoxville and to the state, but LSU and Ole Miss are very much in it as well as Florida. Should be an interesting month of January when he takes his official visits because he will have to squeeze them all in basically one weekend of December and then the four weekends in January."

Martin is very good. When LSU starts going after JuCo CBs when they land a top 10 CB every year that should tell you how good this kid is. Other then Shy or an OT, Martin is the must get for this class. He fits a huge need, and he'll help out right away for us.

Originally Weatherd was going to EE. I should rephrase to say he doesn't like to take Jucos that aren't EEs

Considering he's lead the nation in EEs for what, 2 of the last 3 years? I don't think he likes taking any non EEs.

No big thing on EE. Martin will be able to help even faster than Weatherd. He already possesses the size, speed, and skill set to be a lock down corner. LB's have to build strength and understand scheme more.

According to Lindy’s Southeastern 2014 Preview, “UT had a nation’s leading 14 players enroll at mid term, the third time in four years that Butch Jones has had the most mid-termers in the country” (p. 174).

I was close, thank you.

This might be a stupid question but can someone explain why he only has 3 to play 3? Why is he not eligible for a redshirt year?

Yeah, I need someone to explain it to me too. I thought since he only spent 1 year in JUCO (only 1 year removed from HS), he would have 4 to play 3

Lsu could be losing Kelvin Tolliver soon to VT.
