really hate to lose this kid!
with all the tennessee hype that is getting ready to start up as we bounces back next year, i think he may be making a mistake. his name will be front and center while we make a push to win the east. At LSU (no doubt a good football school) he will be blanketed over by the BAMA hype and the current depth chart.
hope he comes to his senses and stays with the Vols.

Butch needs to take personal control over this one and make him priority. Let position coaches or coordinators work on backup plans. The kid obviously doesn't feel obligated to come to Tennessee anymore, so loyalty card won't do it. Butch needs to show this kid why Tennessee is better for him for the future, regardless of past relations and fandoms. If he can get past the past and win the future, the kid will make a smart decision towards the good guys. But i could see why the draw to lsu is strong, and it would be an epic success to weather the past two years, and these couple months, to get him to Knoxville.

I think he would play immediately. With today's fast paced offenses, you need guys to rotate on defense in addition to injuries. With our secondary depth, I think he is in the two deep immediately.

I've never been a big fan of his. Don't get me wrong, he is a good coach. I just don't think he is as good as he is made out to be. Great assistants and great players have carried him at times. He isn't a top ten coach for me.

Because he de-committed from us and said his favorite school growing up leads for him.

On top of that, you never see a recruit de-commit from Tennessee then commit to us again a month later... That is why I think he's heading to LSU and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I mean I don't think he's coming here but it sure isn't over. He hasn't even taken his official visit and he liked us enough to commit for awhile. I'm just not panicking yet
