'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

It would be cool if Butch let him host future recruits who are being heavily pursued by Bama.

He can probably at least plant a few seeds of doubt in their minds.

Personal account might resonate better than the obvious ones on public display...that they keep disregarding...like Kamara did the first time.

I think we need to look at this like LV would. We already have a RB committed. Now recruiting services have no idea what they are talking about so because AK is highly rated, that means he is not that good.

Taking AK may hurt us getting good RBs in 2016. So basically we should pass all together on Kamara. Our team is so good that we don't need any elite players to help us win.

2 RBs in a class can affect the next class. Of course not NEARLY as much as 3 QBs in a class. RBs rotate in and out. QBs? Not so much. IF they do land Reid and Kamara, I would not be shocked at all to see them pick 1 top caliber RB in 2016 and tell him, "you the man, and the only 1 we are taking if you want the spot". Hopefully Washington takes it.

I've said it before but he has the PERFECT skill set for this offense. Speed, acceleration, you name it. I'd love to see him gut Bama for about 3 TDs in 2015 at Tuscaloosa.

Im sure its been posted/reported but i would prefer not to dig for it, have there been any updates on his current height and weight after a year in a conditioning program? TIA!

Nothing crazy. Have a friend that talks occasionally with some former players, and from time to time he will know when something is about to happen. I wouldn't take it as the gospel, but he has been right every time he has claimed to know.

I always wondered why he even picked Bama, didn't you guys already have Drake and Yeldon from the class before, and 2 other 4*s in Kamara's class?

Yeah it never made sense. We had 5*D Henry, 4*Altee Tenpenny, and 4*Tyren Jones RBs in that class... and AK.

Never made sense to take 4 RBs. We also took 3 QBs in that class (1 walk-on) and 2 of them have transferred out.

It was a strange waste of schollies... but hey I am no coach and I am not complaining about our recruiting overall.. just a few things like that are interesting.

He was doing great at Bama. Hurt his knee and then the Devil processed him.

He did indeed hurt his knee which led to the redshirt. The problem came when he couldn't handle that mentally.

He actively recruited against us when kids were on visits. Of course Saban got rid of him. I assume BJ would do the same in that situation.
