'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

My mom was deadly with whatever she could get her hands on lol...I learned to run, accelerate, and make my cuts early on. :)

I learned to run in circles. She would grab my left arm with her left hand and commence whooping my back side, usually with a belt. And the there we'd go around and round.

Wonder if this is the same as Adrian Peterson .
Adrian Peterson is as docile as a rabbit compared to my Mom, growing up. Too many bleading heart Liberals trying to tell other people how to raise their own kids. It's gotten totally out of control.

If I called the cops to complain about getting whipped with a switch, cable, etc., they would have laughed at me. Not that I think it's right to use things like that. But it seems it's gone from one extreme to the other. From too tolerant to too sensitive.

I agree. Of course there is a line you don't cross as a parent and punishing your child, but IMO the problem now a days is kids are not disciplined enough. I see a parent spanking/whooping a kid now a days, it does not bother me at all. Kid will probably turn out better in the long run.

Had I called the police when my dad whooped me, he would have just told them to take me. :eek:lol:

Kamara is the best RB in the class of 2015 regardless of HS or JUCO iyam.

I find it laughable that anyone can say Jovon Robinson is better than AK and somehow keep a straight face.

Why is that laughable? JR is the number one rated juco player for a reason. Dude is a beast

Please, please, please let our OL develope into a good unit for next year. I really hope Blair was being saved for the next 2 year's because everyone around him would be better. If our OL improves, imagine Dobbs,Hurd and kamara. We may not win the east next year, but we will be in the hunt. 2016 though with dobbs,Hurd, kamara, north,Malone,Barnett as a junior and kmac and Tuttle as soph we gonna bring the pain :loco:

If they would just develop into an average line, we would be in for a big year from our RBs.

For me, the development of Blair is the key to next season. Losing AJ will hurt a lot, but I don't think any other senior exhausting his eligibility will be all that damaging given that the young talent maturing and being in the S/C program for another year will likely result in an upgrade across the board (except at MLB). I think we will be able to compensate for, but not replace, AJ with the LBs we have on campus now (Bates, Jakob, or someone else). If Blair is a SEC caliber LT, then all other players can slide to their best positions. Add a solid Blair to a year of development for our other OLs and our OL will be competent. That would pave the way for a good '15 (8-4 +/- 1) and a potentially spectacular '16.

Kamara looks like a straight line speed guy to me. He makes the same cut every time once he gets to the sidelines. I don't think that will work all of the time in the sec. He just doesn't seem to have elite elusiveness to me. And doesn't break a lot of tackles. Obviously blazing fast, and runs downhill, but I don't see him leaving after next season. I think he still has a lot of developement to go through.

I see just the opposite, lol. He is very shifty with a good burst, and exceptional balance, but he is not a breakaway speed guy. Probably in the 4.5 range. He looks really fast because of his explosiveness in the first 20 yards. But that's just me. :)

FWIW ESPN has issued their JUCO Top 50 rankings. AK a 4* 83 grade. This is the top grade issued to a juco player this year. Jovon Robinson & DJ Jones were assigned same rating. Top 3 JUCOs are Robinson / Kamara / Jones in that order.

RB Alvin Kamara -- Duke Johnson, Miami: Kamara, originally a Class of 2013 signee, couldn’t find the right fit at Alabama and left a crowded backfield for the junior college ranks. Kamara, who is now committed to Tennessee, is talented and a great receiver out of the backfield. Like Johnson, he is sudden and smooth and just short enough to get lost behind the line of scrimmage for a split second and then burst through the hole. They are both multi-faceted backs with ball skills and have the ability to make an impact on the return game. Kamara could be the ideal one-two punch with Jalen Hurd for the Vols.
