'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

i couldve sworn i saw somewhere today that hes enrolling in some community college. i thought it was on espn earlier but now i dont see it

So Patrick wouldnt be included in this class and its ranking? I got a $100 bet going with a UT hater that UT will finish with a top 15 or better class! lol I could use some more points!

Not to be Debbie Downer but Corey Smith said the same thing...

We'll see after a year

I think him being a knox area kid and being a vol fan will help and hopefully this won't go the same way it Smith..

You're absolutely right but I also think Patrick has much stronger ties to UT than Smith... I fully expect this boss to sign with us if/when he's eligible

SIAP, but just read an article that said Devaun Swafford is his cousin. Should somewhat help in a couple of years.

It's amazing to think with the WR haul we brought in this kid could have been apart of it too if it wasn't for the grades. At one point (before going JUCO) Patrick was rated a 4* on 247 & Rivals.

If this staff wants Patrick he will be a Vol, has family here, pretty sure his current GF is going to be attending UT, & as posted above his cousin is Swafford.

Hope he gets his stuff together in the classroom. He has alot of ability and potential

I've known him and his family for years, mark it down, he will be a volunteer! He is really raw, and needs to work on his routes, but his physical ability is completely off the charts.I can't wait to add him to an already deadly wide receiving corps.

I hope that Patrick can get his game together in the classroom.

Does anyone know if he will take both years in JUCO, or could he feasibly make the grades this year to be a part of the 14 class?

Do we know if the staff has any interest in him? I suppose that they offer JUCO guys later in the year because of the potential concerns with grades, performance, etc.

I think he can come in with 4 to play 3 which would be ideal. Not 100% on that.

Our WR's are going to be nasty in a couple years. Add a good back and we will be Oregon-esque. Those Ducks are lucky to be catching us when they are. :)

Are we still playing Oklahoma in 2014 & 2015?

With his size, he would grow into an all american OLB or be a Anquan Boldin type wr. that is a win or a win!

Could he go prep school instead of juco? I'm not sure how they work but, a year quicker to us would be nice.

He could have but he has already enrolled in East MS. The one think that scares me about Juco's in Ms is that it seems they are a pipeline to Ole Miss or Ms State. We have never had any luck pulling kids from there.

From a GVX247 piece in December:

Patrick is planning to attend spring-semester classes at East Mississippi, Cummings said, while also taking online classes through a dual-enrollment program that will allow him to finish his high-school course requirements and earn his diploma.

By getting an early start on his junior-college career, Patrick also is hoping to graduate from East Mississippi by December 2014 in hopes of enrolling at a four-year school in January 2015.

As long as he can make the grades, he will be a VOL. Family wants him at Bammer, FTR. However, He's friends with some of the players who just committed and wanted to be a part of THIS class. However, with his academics.. I'm honestly 50/50 on whether he will EVER make it in. Kid has a long way to go, but if he get's it done in the class room.. he will be a SPECIAL player.

Post above goes for this too J.
