From Auburn Rivals-
* 1:05 pm: JUCO WR Camion Patrick has left his official visit. They were running late and had to hit the road so he didn't have time to talk. However, he confirmed that he did NOT receive an offer this weekend. Auburn plans to be in touch with him sometime this week.
Another familiar name appears to be back in the picture for Tennessee. Three-star wide receiver Camion Patrick of East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Miss. a former UT commitment from Lenoir City (Tenn.) High School who later moved to Knoxvilles West High School posted on his Twitter account last week that he has received an offer from the Vols, and its not out of the question that UT could make a late push for him.
Patrick referred to Louisville and Auburn as his co-leaders Sunday following his visit to Auburn, and hes currently planning to visit Indiana this weekend. But Tennessee quickly could become a factor with Patrick if it decides to make a move on him. Its worth noting, however, that theres still some uncertainty surrounding whether Patrick will be a Class of 2015 prospect because of his academic situation.
IMO you don't lose a current commit to make room for CP unless you are absolutely certain he is good to go academically. It sounds like they will not know that until the summer. You already know that area has been an issue in the past. Possible gray shirt. FWIW.

Grades and character are very different. I worked in higher ed for 3 years, VERY rarely did I see a high school GPA improve by a lot in college. Something like 97% of college GPA are worse than the same student's HS GPA. Do you really not take past performance into consideration when evaluating risk? If a kid fails out of HS, you just pretend it didn't happen and don't assign even a single bit of risk to him for his future education career?
My high school GPA was around 2.3. I went to college and screwed around for a year. Took a year off and went back motivated and ended up making a 3.5 for the rest of my time until I graduated.
I had a 2.7 in high school and although I put more effort into college classes I didn't try half as hard as I could and Im currently sitting with a 3.6 after 2 and 1/2 years.
Just show up to class, take notes, and participate a little. If you do that and turn your homework in on time there is literally no way you can fail imo. Its never too late to turn it around, it can be done.
No excuses, play like a champion.
