'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

I think we take them both if they both want to come. We only have one true deep physical receiving threat in this class and Cam would give us two. Cam originally looked like he was going to be a 2016 recruit and it was not till just recently that he appearently was in good shape to be in the 2015 class.

Its been said they did not think they were getting Phillips and when they did, it cost Ford his spot. If they were not expecting to take Patrick in 2015, is someone else about to get hung out to dry?

Probably. That's what great coaches and programs do. They bring in the best players they can. You're the only one who worries about hurt feelings and broken promises.

Imo that is the staffs plan. I have no doubt the staff has known about Cam all along. He mentioned they had offered again right about the time PW was talking AU visit.
You forget that we've been after a 2nd WR all this time (Newsome and Jefferson) and whiffed. Patrick is a backup plan to losing out on those guys.

Rather have him than either one. We've got depth at WR now, so a pretty good JUCO guy should prove to be beneficial on the field and for the new guys that may need a RS, as opposed to one of those two that would be disgruntled at not getting a ton of early PT.

I'm sure he was lower on their boards due to questions about his grades. But if he had a good semester, that could have helped improve his standing with the staff.

I honestly like CP as good as any WR this class not named Preston Williams. He is an absolute beast and will be a welcome addition.

I think CP loves the Vols enough that he would even do the blueshirt thing, in order to be a part of this class. OH, do you get that same feeling, since I think you said you know him?

I cant believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Leb on this one. I really hope we are wrong and we can somehow take both of them... because I really want both of them. Ballers.

Also - our WR depth is not as good as it appears. We all saw what happened toward the end of the season with some injuries. Then, after next year we will be missing Pig, Pearson, very possibly North, J. Johnson. Only Malone, Croom, J Smith returning with any experience.

IMO just another example of digging out of the hole Dooley dug. Building the quality, consistent depth here is still gonna take another class or two. Staff is doing a great job with it so far, IMO

I lean towards North staying all four years as of now, but your post is great nonetheless. That's why it's important to keep freaks like Williams and try to pull in Patrick.

It sucks to think about it but these receivers that stay banged up all the time probably won't have much more time here either. if you're not making progress on the field due to lack of production or even injury you will probably get recruited over. The state of Tennessee football does not have time to wait and see how things play out and that's unfortunate but has to be done to continue our rise back to relevance.

If CBJ takes Patrick and he ends up not qualifying, doesn't he still count against the 25?

No, and they won't accept his commitment until that stuff is basically guaranteed to transfer and make it through the clearinghouse.

The simple fact that they offered means they belive he is on pace and will be good to go. If there were still lots of uncertainty I'd say we wouldn't have offered.

I bet Auburn is going full force on CP since PW left..

Ain't worried about nothing unless he's interested in a position switch to RB,

The only way we don't take Cam is grades, I doubt we lose him to another school unless he has problem with the extra math class which I'm pretty sure has to be done at most SEC schools.

Camion needs to get caught in a dorm room participating in a shaman-administered Ayahuasca ceremony for himself and all the other Auburn recruits. Well except for those 5 star guys that were favoring Florida.

A buddy of mine who lives in Miami has done this a few times in Little Haiti. He invited me but I'm not sure how I feel about throwing up continuously for an entire night LOL. Shaman administered and all haha.

/cool story bro

Camion can throw up repeatedly on Auburn's boosters.
