'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

As long as we get Love, I don't care if the 3rd is Bussey or Reid. Either will be 4th string for a while IMO

Yeah, I'm not too worried about RB recruiting now that Kamara is signed. I know we will sign 1 or 2 more bodies and I'll be happy whoever it is.

Cm'on man, these are 18yr old kids. Do you really think they know what is best for them? Parents should be there to ask the tough questions that the kid is either too scared to ask or otherwise wouldn't ask. Parents should also try and keep the kid grounded, not get too caught up in the hype and, yes, help them make an informed decision.

As a coach, you should be able to spot an overbearing parent a mile away and, as a coach, you also have the power to offer or not.

I do agree about being 18 and maybe not knowing whats best but in most recruiting the parents know as little as the kid about the whole process and lets face it Coach's are gonna kiss parents ass during the process so I think if a kid feels better about a certain school or clicks with Coachs then they have a better feel than a parent. Especially when you have parents deadset on a school and the kid not wanna go. I think when it comes to athletics the parents shouldn't force one school over another. Archie Manning is a perfect example..OleMiss family and had fans and dveryone else pushing staying home to play for OM but Archie let him make his own choice and never intered. He took abuse for not making him stay home but did the best thing a parent could do. Was there for him and let Peyton make his own decision.

If your child gets full scholarships (sports, academic, etc.), then that is one thing, and you can advise them and such. But if I am the one footing the bill, then yes, I will have some input into where my child is attending. While I never even thought about going there, my Dad told me in high school that he would not pay for me attending college in Mississippi. He was probably half joking, but I knew how he felt. I was a legacy at UT anyway, so I basically knew where I was going.

Edit: I got delfonic'd.

I do get that but if your child wants to into a certain field and the school he wants is one of the best ..Would you let him or her make that choice or do like some parents and try to force a field and school you want them in? Me personally I never see myself forcing a school or field of study. Its their live and future and no parent has the right to dictate what their child does for a career. Only the kid has a better idea of what they want to do for a living than a parent. Jmo

The kid's highlight tape features nothing but huge blocks or TD's for the first 8 minutes. Goodness.

Last call for "insider" statements.

Here's another P Fort nugget

I don't believe they are basing their decision on Joseph being at A&M, I just believe that's a factor that's been a part of A&M being in it. From talking to both the father and Bussey Jr., I don't believe that's a deciding factor, more of a reason they are looking at A&M.
