'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

We're deep at RB. Bussey was a solid recruit but I'm finding it difficult to be disappointed on this news. I must say it's fun watching the speculation run rampant on every possible scenario as to why he flipped. If the numbers crunch was really an issue, I don't think we would have taken Kelly as a RB. On the other hand, situations change. I'll be perfectly happy if we gain Richmond and don't lose anyone else. That would rock. If there happens to be one more addition beyond Richmond? Gravy.

And other "insiders" have said he was just pushing her away from coming after him. Deerpark's word isn't gospel. No one can say they know for sure what happened based on message board posts. Maybe he hit her. Maybe he didn't.

I really don't think the loss of Bussey is that big a deal. I preferred Kelly over him and I believe we are also targeting another big name RB in the 2016 class (Tavien Feaster). If anything, I think the staff asking him to take a GS or BS means they must have gotten good news on the Richmond front and are just making room.

Not ideal by any means though. Abernathy isn't a true running back and we need depth. We also need to get players in and develop them, that's why the coaches said we need 3. This is Tennessee, 2 running backs on campus and 1 freshman committed isn't depth. Most teams with a deep backfield take 2 backs a year.

Not wasting a spot on a 3rd RB in the class. I'll allow it. Butch, keep reading my posts for guidance. We'll get this thing figured out.

He played RB for Butch at Cincy so why wouldn't we consider him a RB? He can play the position. He is all around weapon that will line up in Slot and backfield. If we were in a dire situation during the season where Hurd/ Kamara were banged up and couldn't go you better believe RDA would get carries at RB with Kelly.

Deer park said it was a fact that TN would never ditch Adidias for Nike despite what VQ was saying....I'm pretty sure we are a Nike school now

But his chances will be worse at ATM, so that doesn't make sense. Not to mention that's not what his dad, among others, are saying at all.

Don't forget Vincent Perry. He tore it up this year coming back from an ACL. Between he and J.Bruce we should be ok.

Abernathy? Really you think so? Wanna hand a 165 lb the guy in the SEC and see how long he stays vertical?

The point is we have NO depth and people that say we do are blind. Kelly is the only freshman RB we have coming in, that is SCARY!

The 2-3 carries a game our #3-4 guys will be fighting for, IMO any of them can handle it. RDAIV, Kelly, Perry, Bruce, doesn't matter.

I just can't believe you guys saying oh Bruce or Perry or Berry can handle the carries. This is the SEC! You need elite RBs stacked up! If this class winds up with just Kelly at RB(who is listed as an athlete mind you) we will be screwed not only this year but down the road. RB more so than any other is a one hit away position and if you don't believe me ask Georgia how many 5 stars they went through last year. SMH at people thinking we are deep at RB. Don't dive into that end of the pool folks, you will crack your head open.

But we are screwed if Abernathy is what we get down to. That's what we need to avoid, and that's the point.

She accused him. Especially with the current news cycle Butch made the right call whether her accusations are substantiated or not. If she had retracted her stance and Paulk truely didn't hit her he should be reinstated. Obviously if he hit her then he shouldn't be. Butch had made the right calls with Paulk, AJ, and Williams. If he reinstates Paulk I'll trust that the decision is based on the knowledge that he really didn't hit her.
