On the one hand, id welcome the kid with open arms and look forward to what he can do with/for us.

On the other hand... I don’t know how much sense it makes to lose a spot in our class for a one year player on a position that’s currently a strong until already - considering the rebuild we’re facing.

Not for nothing, but his QB led the NCAA in yards and was fourth in TDs last year. I’d imagine everyone in that WR room is doing better than everyone in ours.

Why is he redshirting?

He has to if he wants to transfer. He has taken advantage of the new rule of playing in 4 games, but is also a senior, so he has no more eligibility if he transfers without sitting out the remainder of this season. He will graduate from OSU and transfer and be immediately eligible for 2019 as a grad transfer.

I will say this. We don’t have anyone like him that can get on the field. Maybe the idea that he is that missing ingredient is appealing to him.

He does things no other receiver on this roster can do, and he's a dangerous return man too. This staff would be crazy not to pursue him, but I don't know if he'd want to come here for his last year of college.
