agree with eazy. i will take those three. not sure how great roseboro will be at DT. he is michigan bound and im not sure we are after him at all

I know that a few Tenn recruiters were visiting Darian Roseboro last week. A teammate says he's very high on Tenn and wears the orange a lot.

Just thought I would share.

I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see the coaches turn up the heat on some more DTs.

Because there is nothing impressive at all about our DT depth moving forward. We can't rely exclusively on Tuttle, McKenzie, and Piccou moving forward.

Sawyers - So

O. Williams - Sr
Mixon - So
OBrien - Jr

with possible moves of

Hendrix - So
Barnett - So
Vickers - So

Mosley - RsFr could still end up on the Dline

There's a good chance O'Brien, Mixon, and Saulsberry do nothing substantial this year.

I truly believe the coaches will keep Hendrix and Barnett at end unless they just can't keep their weight controlled. So I guess we will see on that front.

I've never been a fan of the idea of Mosley on the DL. I will need to actually see him be effective there before I will believe it.

I thought we were talking about depth once McKenzie Tuttle and Picou get on campus, not this year.

Yeah the Hendrix and Barnett statement was referring to large weight gain. If they gain 30-40 pounds over the next 4-5 years, they could move. Also if they feel like they need to move them to add depth. J.Williams was an end, gained weight, and is now a DT

I think (and hope) that the staff's plan is to improve the DT spot through 2015 recruiting, rather than plan to loot our promising SEC DE talent.

Im not saying its a plan. Im saying that they could go through big weight gains. Remember, both of those guys just graduated high school, and will probably be around for 4 more years.

I hear ya. Maybe they have the bulk yo slide inside on sub packages, but I want them as 4-3 DEs.

Same here. Although I would really like to see

Maggitt, Barnett, Hendrix, Vereen side by side at some point next year on passing downs.

So Roseboro or Settle if a decision had to be made...(making a pretty big leap that we are in this guy's final 2-3)

I remember saying if we could get 4 good DT's then we take them. Of course some people on this forum said no way we take that many. How is that looking now? I think if we can get Tuttle and Settle we take them both. Forget the numbers and get the best guys we can get. CBJ will figure the numbers out.

Still need 2 more in addition to that list, IMO. I'm starting to think we take 4, and then 3 in 2016. That gets us to 10 quality DTs...that's SEC depth. I still would really love to see us stay after DJ Jones. He would fit into Danny O's class, who will be the only junior next year. KMac, Tuttle, DJ, and Picou...yes, please!

Doug Matthews seems to think we need 4 DTs this class and will take 4. He said Hendrix and Barnett are doing so well at DE that they will probably not move them. The coaches really like them at DE.
