"With Shy Tuttles commitment Friday afternoon, the Volunteers are set to become the first program since LSU in 2001 to sign two five-star defensive tackles in the same recruiting class.
Tennessee which also has a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie from California is on track to become the first program to sign two five-star defensive tackles in the same class since LSU turned the trick with Marcus Spears and Marquise Hill in 2001.
Alabama in 2000 with Mac Tyler and Albert Means is the only other program this century to pen a pair of five-stars in the same class."

"The rich could continue to get richer, as well.
After signing three four-star, Top247 defensive ends Derek Barnett, Dewayne Hendrix and Joe Henderson in the 2014 cycle, Tennessee now has 2015 commitments from two five-star defensive ends (McKenzie and Tuttle), one four-star defensive tackle (Quay Picou), one four-star defensive end (Andrew Butcher), one three-star defensive tackle (Chance Hall) and two three-star defensive ends (Marques Ford and Dylan Jackson), though at least Hall and Jackson could ultimately be more useful on the offensive side of the ball.
There are more highly touted 2015 defensive line prospects on Tennessees board, though, including Nashvilles Kyle Phillips, a four-star whos listed at strong-side defensive end but could be a stellar end, tackle or both at the next level and is one of the nations most highly coveted, uncommitted prospects at any position.
And Tennessee currently has a commanding lead in Phillips Crystal Ball projections, with 84 percent of the picks going the Vols way.
Kyle Phillips certainly is the first name that comes to mind, and hes probably a real priority considering their continued sort of effort in winning their state, Simmons said. To me, Phillips is the biggest name out there for them now. Hes a really elite talent, and he could play either the defensive end of the defensive tackle spots. And while theyre having another great year, theres been more of an invasion in their state from the other SEC powers, and that would be a pretty big statement get, as well, to be able to land one of the top players in the state at a position of need when everybody else wants him.
