'15 NC RB Johnny Frasier

Well, every recruiting service disagrees with you as far as Frazier being every bit as talented as Hurd. I'm not an expert, but I thought Hurd had a higher ceiling coming out of HS. I can't speak for flowd, but I imagine part of the reason he disagrees that Frazier will immediately challenge Hurd for the #1 spot is not only because of the talent level, but also because Hurd will have been in the system for a year, and is already running well behind the worst UT line I've ever seen.

Frazier is ridiculous, I think he's the best RB in the country this year.

It's hard to judge Frasier since he plays 1a ball I think. He may go to college and be all world.Look at the NFL a combine at these guys that look great in shorts get drafted and do nothing. The shrine bowl will show a lot when he plays against the best kids from SC.

He does play 1-A ball. It's been discussed on this thread from the very beginning. And it doesn't matter. He plays 1-A ball surrounded by 1-A teammates, and he runs all over 1-A opponents, 2-A opponents, or anyone else who wants to take a shot. In a preseason scrimmage, he ran all over a 4-A opponent, and we don't go any higher than that in North Carolina.

Watch his film against James Kenan, a team he's played three times in the last two seasons. They won the state title in 2013 and are ranked second in the state this year. Princeton might have four players who could be part of JK's starting 22. Maybe. And Frasier goes for 200-plus against them and keeps the game in doubt until there's less than a minute left.

Anyway, he played tonight...or at least he made a cameo. The Dawgs were playing Spring Creek for Homecoming, and Spring Creek is...well, let's just say they went 3-9 last year and it was their best season since 2006. Princeton led 29-0 with 5:23 left in the first quarter, and 56-0 at halftime, and won 62-8. Johnny touched the ball nine times and scored four touchdowns--7-162 with three TD's rushing and 2-37 with a TD receiving. Frankly, it was ridiculous, and Johnny went to the bench after it got to 56-0 in the second quarter. I asked him if he had the rest of the night off, and he said he did. Spent the rest of the game encouraging the reserves.

He had 152 yards on 16 carries in Princeton's 45-6 win over Hobbton last week.

Next three games are against North Duplin, Lakewood and Rosewood, which won't be any match for Johnny Frasier, but it won't be anything like tonight. Princeton could do anything they wanted to.

This was Johnny in action tonight. He scored on every play they sent him up the middle, but SC managed to hold him out of the end zone on a few sweeps. He got a mere 13 yards on this play.

Who was the 4a team?

Looks like a bowling ball

One might say. . . He is built similar to Rocky?

He is, but more talented. This is the only trade off Id accept for Reid. Love over Reid isn't a good deal to me. Yes he has speed, but his weight concerns me. Seems like a Brian Kimbrow type and we all know how that turned out.

Kimbrow always was going to look like a waif with his body frame. Love looks more like a football player. Kimbrow was a glorified flag football player.

Or a Dexter McCluster type. You never know how a guy is going to turn out.

Kinda sleepy and was wondering why he had a pink arm

Some kind of sleeve he was wearing. It was a bit cool last night. The pink stuff is part of a breast cancer awareness program that is ongoing among the athletes at the school.

About the bowling ball comment: He was a pure speed back two years ago, when he first joined the team, but is extremely strong now, and probably 30 pounds heavier than he was then. I've seen him drag would-be tacklers for as much 10 and 15 yards downfield before they either stop him or he shakes them off. He'd still rather put a move on you and go by you, but he's glad to run over a DB if they challenge him. I can't recall anyone tackling him in the open field.

Reminds me a little bit of the rb who committed to Michigan when we still had our old rb coach, but not quite as fat as that kid was, and just a little bit better in most aspects of the game including speed.

Could you be any more vague?

Think his name was derrick something. I dunno. Volnation threw a fits when he committed to michigan and then the rb coach fled to Fsu cause we wouldn't pay him. My memory for names is not so good.

This kid is an elite RB. We need to go after him as hard as possible... He is a difference maker day 1. You have to get kids like him and Richmond to turn this around.... Add in McKenzie & Tuttle plus hopefully Phillips.... This is how we get Ole Miss Results.... Simple as that...

Yes I completely agree with you BB on Kamara. I think the biggest upgrade next year will be DT play. We need at least 1 more OT and another game changing edge rusher.

No one's a bigger fan of Johnny Frasier than I am, but he's not going to fix the team's biggest problems. If you want "Ole Miss Results," we need a better quarterback and a better offensive line, and Johnny doesn't play either of those positions.

I'd be happy if we had just figured out a way not to lose to Will Muschump before the Gators wise up and fire him. I don't think we'll get another chance...

You cant figure out a way when your senior qb plays like that. our OL will get better. we are just extremely young. but worley doesnt help them out by consistently jolding the ball too long. he hss poor instincts and is poor at making reads. dormady, jenning and kendall cant get here soon enough.
