'15 NC RB Johnny Frasier

No one's a bigger fan of Johnny Frasier than I am, but he's not going to fix the team's biggest problems. If you want "Ole Miss Results," we need a better quarterback and a better offensive line, and Johnny doesn't play either of those positions.

I'd be happy if we had just figured out a way not to lose to Will Muschump before the Gators wise up and fire him. I don't think we'll get another chance...

No I realize that. I am just saying we need to get as many of these kids like Frasier as we can at all positions. I think he makes your problems look alot less obivous.

I also think there is a plan at Tackle. I think Jackson and Phillips ,if we end up with him, both end up there. Of course it will be at least 2 years down the road. I also think they have high hopes for the 2016 tackles. I think they want Blair to bridge that gap and hope he can be a good player in time. I also believe this staff has also put their eggs in the Dobbs basket at QB to get us to that 2 year spot where we will have had 4 years to really build the roster up. I personally would like to see dobbs around 235 lbs and be a physical runner.

I think we are alot closer in some areas to being really good. The key to it all is up front on offense. But to be really good you have to get elite kids. Frasier is one IMO so he should really be a huge target IMO. Outside Hurd we don't have anything at RB.

unless he steps it up quite a bit he wont.

Worley? For having no time to throw the ball a lot of the time and taking the amount of hits he takes every game I'm not sure how much more you can expect from the guy. I've been impressed by his toughness big time this year.

Worley has the toughest job in the SEC. He's got great receivers behind one of the thinnest and youngest OLs you will ever see in the SEC. He's basically getting the crap kicked out of him each game and it's not getting any better. Alabama and Missouri will get after Worley like Georgia, Oklahoma and Ole Miss did. Going to be be tough sledding for the guy I just hope he doesn't get concussed or worse out there. He's on that path.

You can applaud his toughness all day, and I do as well..he's hung in there all season while getting murdered.

However his skills & awareness as an SEC QB are severely lacking.

He has made some pretty poor decisions the last two SEC games. If we can get the Worley back that excelled against Georgia, then we can still make a bowl game.

A man can only get hit in the mouth so many times before he starts making questionable decisions. Worley this season has taken more sacks than Simms did in 11 games in 2010. He got put on his ass 20 times in the Oklahoma game alone considering hits and sacks.

Even when he has time to throw the ball he holds on to it for way too long and takes a sack. I'm not discounting his toughness but the majority of the hits he takes in the backfield are all on him and his horrible pocket awareness. Yes, Worley has improved this year but he is still an average quarterback at best.

This. Kid is tough as nails, but some of those sacks are on him as well. When he is provided with time by the line (admittedly not often), he tends to hold the ball way too long. That seems out of sorts considering that in the back of his mind there has to be an internal clock ticking. And I can't believe he thinks this line could block for as long as he holds the ball sometimes. That speaks to a lack of awareness. I think he has trouble reading defenses and finding the open man too often.

Tough kid though. I wouldn't want to trot out behind that line drive after drive.

A QB can tend to get a little gun shy after being destroyed time after time. What I have seen is a QB who has to be so concerned with his OT's whiffing on blocks that he is more inclined to look to see who is coming unblocked vs looking downfield to throw the ball. The 5% of the time the OT actually gets in the DL guys way and slows him down, the timing of the play is thrown off and at times can lead to JW holding onto the ball too long. If you watch the replays of the games, even the announcers speak about how JW does a great job IF he has time in the pocket. QBs who get blasted time after time by unblocked defenders tend to make more mistakes. It's just bound to happen.

I think Worley is now suffering from David Carr syndrome.

I agree and if folks could watch the video of what he sees every time he drops to pass it would stop. Nobody should say one negative word toward Worley. Tim Irwin even said on air that he has been hit so many times he has reached the point of being unable to make good decisions much of the time when pressured.

Give him decent pocket protection and quick routes. Then give him max protection for the deep routes. But that rarely happens. I see other spread offenses do it consistently. Not this one.

I don't know what the crap we're supposed to call our offense. Well maybe i just did.

I know Oklahoma has lost two games, but i love that Pistol formation, especially the fake-handoff quick slant passes... those are KILLER.

He did the same thing last year.

You cant figure out a way when your senior qb plays like that. our OL will get better. we are just extremely young. but worley doesnt help them out by consistently jolding the ball too long. he hss poor instincts and is poor at making reads. dormady, jenning and kendall cant get here soon enough.

I texted this holds the ball too long to friends at Utah state game. This man gets it.

That is exactly the truth. He's gun shy ,hearing foot steps ect.Call it what you may.But he's rushing everything even though he may not think he is.It's in his subconscious. I don't know how or if you can fix it.But you are absolutely correct. He has lost his confidence and knows he's gonna get hit.Not all his fault ,just human nature. He's a tough kid .
