They both accelerate very well. Scott is a little faster and just has the elusiveness and shiftiness to make people miss that you cant teach. Reid is just grown ass man. He gets stronger as the game goes on and is more of a between the tackles runner. He has speed enough to take it the distance. Very good balance. He reminds me of Jeremy Hill of LSU. Not sure how the gurus have ranked him only a 3 star. Look at his production in a great football area in NC.

I don't want to get involved in the numbers discussion with you because I feel it would be morally wrong for me to do anything to encourage such a consuming fixation.

Well to be fair last year CBJ at one point said we were taking 30 and I think we ended up with 32 + 1 gray shirt. So there is that. Of course here on VN we spent a number of weeks arguing his 30 number and speculating on how far above that number he'd actually go. We're obviously pretty smart about these things. And of course Butch gets it so naturally he came around to the way VN saw things. :) In the end I think he was even trying to out bid us. You have to admit it he had us believing he might go as high as well...it was on up there.

But the rest of us are just "fishing" for a reason to sign 25? Looking for "some mysterious what CBJ really meant ordeal"? Maybe it's not us, maybe it's you.

"Influx" could also mean 16 right?

What if a few kids that some would like to see "processed" improve this year and the staff thinks letting them progress makes more sense than signing a HS kid in the spot and hoping he turns out better? Could the number then be 16? Maybe 17?

My :eek:lol: was mainly because your going into cardiac arrest over a PART of my statement.

People were saying we would take 2 QBs, 2 RBs, a TE, 4 LBs and so on. It was then I said would you not sign Edoga or Phillips so you can take these extra spots?

Math is simple. Adding numbers is very easy. You keep adding players, but at some point you have to drop some other spots to do it.

Wisconsin offered.

"Getting that offer from Wisconsin was the highlight of my day," Reid told BadgerBlitz.com. "It's an honor to receive an offer from a big-time school like that."

"Coach Brown and I are building our relationship and we're getting pretty close," Reid said. "My interest in Wisconsin is high. They put their running backs in the NFL and that's important to me. "I want to take some visits this summer but haven't decided where I'm going just yet."

"Everyone is pretty much the same right now," said Reid, who ran 41 times for 224 yards and a touchdown in the 3-A (North Carolina) state title game last fall. And when it comes to a decision, Reid would like to make his final call, "any time before my senior season starts."
