'15 OH LB Jerome Baker

how many olb's are they taking? they're the favorite for Justin Hilliard nd he is signing pretty soon.

Baker is a way better athlete than Hilliard and IMO a much better overall prospect. I've never been a big fan of Hilliard. Baker will be a take for them regardless. And it would be a huge upset if he went anywhere by OSU. I think he's as close to a lock as they come.

I thought if he was gonna wait till midseason or after it to commit we'd have a fair shot at him but if it's this early, it's OSU for sure.

Cleveland (Ohio) Benedictine Top50 athlete*Jerome Bakerhad talked about taking official visits before deciding for the entire recruiting process.

However on Sunday, the nation's No. 4 athlete and U.S. Army All-American reported that he'll announce his college decision on July 11.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Baker recent named a top eight of Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Penn State and Miami.

He liked UT a lot. If we don't pull him we're a very close 2nd. I think we have a real shot here. He sees what Butch is doing and absolutely knows the SEC is big boy football.

Everybody knows Meyer rode Spurrier's ideal setup winning an NC and then feigned heart issues after a steep downhill nosedive to regroup and find another job. UF was completely out of control when he skipped town. He left Muschump with a burned down mess. I have no respect for a coach that won't Man Up and fix a bad situation and instead run. Garbage Coach in my book.

It does look like OSU is about to have a very big week in recruiting. Possibly 3 5*s in the next week.
OSU has been pulling 5 stars forever and doing absolutely nothing with them. I remember a 4 star laden UT team shutting Heisman winner Eddie George down and winning our only meeting 21-14. Big 10 gets small really fast against the SEC.

With his decision being this early I would have us as the runner up with <5% of getting him. The only way we get him is if somehow Kahlil worked some magic for us.

Also I hope no one says the kid is "afraid to play in the SEC". First off he is more than good enough to play SEC ball and secondly it appears he wants to put on for his state school which is respectable.

I hate OSU, but I respect the kid's decision as we all should.

Sorrry if I am missing something or you were being sarcastic, but you do remember that Ron Zook was between Spurrier and Meyer for a few years, right?
