Rank: No. 28 overall, No. 2 Athlete

Status: The state of Ohio's top ranked prospect does not plan to make a college commitment until after his senior season, so his spring has been noticeably quiet thus far. A running back and linebacker prospect at the next level, Baker did make an unofficial visit to Ohio State in March and one to Penn State in February. Both are schools that expect to be in the final conversations for the four-star athlete, with the Nittany Lions projecting him to defense and the Buckeyes wanting him to carry the football. Baker's next series of visits will take place the weekend of April 18 when he makes a southern swing to check out SEC schools Florida, Tennessee and Georgia. The Bulldogs are the most recent school to extend an offer to Baker, sending notice of their tender in February.

I believe this is his first visit. It also shows UF and UGA that day, I've found that the 247 timeline isn't as accurate as we'd like. Sometimes it lists visits that don't take place and sometimes it leaves off ones that actually did happen.

He was likely looking at the 247 timeline for his source on that one. I'm almost positive this is Baker's first visit.

247 has him with UOVs to Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida all on the same day. He must be even faster than we thought.

Kahlil McKenzie is expected in Knoxville around 7 tonight. Will spend time with the coaching staff tomorrow. He and Jerome Baker are the only two visitors expected in this weekend.

Thigpen came off the road today to spend time with Baker. Just wanted to keep everyone updated.

Dang he's palming 2 Tennessee helmets with that orange jersey on that looks sweet would be awesome to beat Urban Cryer out for another big time player. I hope we can land this kid. It sure is nice having a coaching staff that actually recruits and is fighting for every kid they want. Unbelievable the last staff wouldn't recruit at all. With the facilities, tradition, and passionate fan base we have we should always be in the top echelon of college football. I've said it many times and imma say it again we lucked up getting Coach Jones and this staff. GO VOLS!!!
