Glad we have this kid! Hopefully he is VFL cause if he keeps having games like this more schools will press him since we have 2 QB's in this class. I like QD but JJ seems like he will thrive in our O. I am hoping the home grown kid does big things when he get on rocky top!

Can't wait to see Jennings next year compete for the QB job. I know Peterman and Dobbs are next in line but Jauan could be a better fit than either of them in CBJ's offense.

Starting a true freshman QB is not a good idea. I think like Worley this year, Peterman is going to surprise people next year.

Wouldn't mind seeing him throw a few passes as a wr on end arounds... If dormandy and Jennings are that close battling at qb when the time comes do you go ahead and give the nod to dormandy just to get both of them on the field??

I would say the consensus is athlete.

I'm not apart of that group, though. I think he can be a QB.

Qb makes sense. Do we know of Butch has ever used a hybrid/slash/athlete before? I don't recall ever seeing one at Cincy while he was there. Also don't really see where it would fit into their offensive scheme - and in fact - having an athlete/hybrid player that is constantly shuffled on and off the field would seemingly fly in the face of their goal to play as fast as possible.

Curious to why people don't think of him as much as a passer. I don't remember where I saw it but Jennings had a video from this year, which included a variation of passes (play action, roll out, shotgun, etc). He looked much better than some people give him credit for. Has some zip on his throws, leads his receivers pretty well for the most past and is very blessed athletically. Sure he might not be the most polished QB..nothing a redshirt year or 2 can't fix.

Either way guys, we're looking pretty at the QB position for the future.

If I could, I would give you multiple "likes" on this post. Peterman apparently had a good fall camp and will be way ahead of either of the freshman next year just on his two full years in the system. I'm of the opinion he probably starts his last two years and then we see who emerges between Dormady, Jennings and Kendall. All three of them may have more potential than Peterman, but with Butch, it will come down to consistency and trust. As our current OL is demonstrating, both are hard to find in freshman.

If they ever let peterman play again he better play lights out... Because his performance against Florida (and butch leaving him in) is the reason we lost that game. He was beyond terrible.

Blackman football coach Philip Shadowens said he's noticed a difference in Jennings this season through the first four games.

..."I think at quarterback, the game has to slow down for you so you can see it," Shadowens said. "You don't see 11 people out there running around. You are able to read your keys better.

"I think Jauan is getting to that point, where the game has simplified in his mind. He's focusing on what he needs to see."

His hudl highlights must be updated after each game. Some new ones added to his sr film. Getting an elite athlete that's for sure

Just got through h watching about a quarter of Blackman vs Stewart Creek. Blackman considerably bigger and more athletic but JJ looks great. He threw a lot better than I remember in the first game. Had beautiful touch on a 70 yard TD pass in the 3rd.. He threw it about 40-50 yards and it was money.

And his spin move is downright filthy.

So Bowling Green backed out of playing Blackman and replaced them with McCallie. McCallie beat them tonight ending their tainted streak.
