On Junior O/D bowl in Orlando...
"I played everywhere that I play in high school. I played running back, wide receiver and cornerback. I started on both sides of the ball," Woods explained. "It went great. I scored on the first play of the game and then I had an interception, too," Woods said. "My team played sound football for the win and we all played together."
The long-time Tennessee commitment for the class of 2015 said he continues to talk to Vol offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian regularly and also said the Vols' 5-7 season did nothing to dissuade his commitment to Tennessee and head coach Butch Jones.
"Coming into it there were going to be things we had to work on and things that had to change," Woods explained. "It's a first year coach and Butch has already changed the program as it is and I believe in him."
Is he still a commit? It's almost like after there was an article about how he loves some Ohio St he hasn't made a peep.
That's the real UrbzHe visited OSU and absolutely hated it. Said that the coaches were pricks and didn't give much attention and sort of spoke down to him. He also said that they were really arrogant, etc. Had a miserable visit altogether. Don't think there is need to worry about them what-so-ever.
Just got a notification that Butch and Coach Jake followed Jay and these were the most recent tweets. I think he's new to twitter, give our man some followers!
@_jaysocold_: @VolNation your 15' commit needs your help #VolNation!
@_jaysocold_: @Vol_Football ready to be up in my new home already!!
@_jaysocold_: @UTCoachJones needa hear from you soon coach!
couple of guys stood out today were 2015 defensive back*Ugo Amadi, 2015 athlete*Vincent Perry, 2015 running back*KeShawn Vaughn*and Tennessee commitment*Jaylond Woods.
Woods had a good day and showed the ability to get open from the slot and seemed to perform at a really high level. He's faster than I remembered to be honest.
