'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

"Me and coach Jones went to his room and I told him I'm thinking about committing and he told me to come give him a hug and he said now it's important to keep my grades up and get your body built more so that's something I have to work on," Woods said.

"Everything. The facilities, the program. Just how everything is good, especially the coaches. The coaches are amazing. The practices are uptempo and hype. It's an atmosphere I'd love to be in," Woods said.

"You had the DJ playing. You had NFL pros from Tennessee and 61,000 fans and some schools don't even get that for a regular game. It was just crazy," Woods said.

"With me being local I really wasn't thinking about it until my first visit. You have family members around you, you have fans that have been there that have been there since high school," Woods said. "Compare that to Florida where you have to build up a fan base where if you're at UT you have that and it's overwhelming."

Also goes on to say that he will be in the slot. He is currently 5'9 and 160 lbs.

A poster asked Carlos where Woods ranks for the instate class in 2015.

Right now I think the only players who may be ahead of him are Drew Richmond and Rico McGraw......he is one of the top players (Top 5) in the state.....

I wonder where Zach Stewart ranks in that list?

"Just the feeling of being so comfortable at this campus," Woods told InsideTennessee. "Being a hometown kid, it felt really good."

"Just the atmosphere. You have a good facility. You have an amazing coaching staff. Players treat you as their own brother. You've got good classes. I mean, why not?" Woods said.

"Coach Jones just got up and hugged me," said Woods, who informed the first-year head man in his stadium office.

"It was just hitting me in the head that that's just a practice, basically," Woods said. "So, when it comes down to the games, the stadium is going to be filled."

"I talked to (Stewart) when I first got here, and he was trying to wait for me but his dad told him he had to go. So, I'm going to try to get ahold of him sometime soon," Woods said.

Woods is comfortable playing on either side of the football, whether it be cornerback, slot receiver or whatever: "as long as I'm doing something that I like."

He is young, and still understands that fl is new money. Pretty smart guy IMO.

Im friends with Jaylond, we hang out every once in a while and this kid is the real deal. He's faster than a 4.5 and has had practically no real coaching. Hes an amazing athlete. He likes Ohio state but I think he'll end up here. Y'all have any questions?

IMHO

Great pickup. You are talking about a Top 3 prospect in-state in the '15 class. Having 2 of the top 6-7 guys in-state already committed for 15 is a great start!
