If thats his favorite team he needs to go be with Urbie,and Vonn (Iam going to get my ass handed to me when we play an SEC team)Bell. Only want kids that bleed Orange.Cut his ass loose if for nothing else being stupid enough to compare us to a chump school like osu.What a joke.

If he did, IMO the coaches should have held off on taking his commitment or tell him straight up that either he is ALL VOL or he can de-commit and reconsider where he is after he considers OSU and if they are interested. He has a long time till NSD for the 2015 class.

Yeah I am so sick of hearing about osu from these kids I could puke.They are nothing.They play in a terrible confrence,and are coached by a known quitter that couldnt handle the pressure of coaching in a real confrence.Only want kids that think this is a special place to play.Because it sure as hell is.

I mean I dislike Meyer as much as the next Vol but he did win two BCS championships while coaching in this conference...

I would think most teams should do this. Still not sure why he'd say that, even if he felt that way though...

As much as I love Tennessee, I also have no problem understanding why kids choose schools like Michigan, OSU, USC, and other schools who have done very well over long periods of time. You don't have to play in the SEC to have a future in football if that is your ultimate goal. I wish we could (Cecil)cherry pick every recruit we wanted, it's just not going to happen.

He was coaching in the most talent rich state on the planet..You or me could coach and win at Fla.Cant stand his smug face or osu.One of his former thugs has done went and killed someone.Must be the great example of being a goid man Urbie taught him while he was playing at UF.

I've never understood the idea that teams outside of the SEC are a fluke just because they don't play in the SEC. Sure in some cases they don't matchup (Notre Dame) but A&M joining the SEC isn't the reason they beat Bama last year, it's because they were a talented team that was well coached, and as much as I hate to say it teams like Ohio State are just as talented and reel in just as talented of recruiting classes as a LSU or a Florida.

If that's the case why aren't UF, FSU, or Miami the reigning champions? I understand the hate for Florida and Meyer but I don't understand the blatant ignorance of reason.

The earlier Ohio State offers, the better our chance of holding on to him. If they offer late, the romanticism of getting that dream offer may be too much to overcome.

It might be a blessing.

I would find it hard as a fellow commitment to look at a guy as my future ALL VOL teammate after reading his quotes about OSU. I have nothing against OSU and think they are a great football program. With that said, your either 100% with me(VFL) in the battle or your being left behind.

Brick By Brick does not mean much if UM can come along at any time and yank a brick out and the wall comes down.

Maybe true.But lets let them play ours or any Sec teams schedule week in week out. I would be willing to wager large amounts of money they would lose 3,4,5 games a year.You can be down as we have been but play a weak schedule and look great like they do every year.Watch and see after all already under contract games are over meyer wont play anyone ooc.Cant stand him.

That's fine, but he's a 16-year old kid. I'd much rather him be upfront and honest, rather than saying I'm "all-Vol" for the next 18 months and flip at the last minute if OSU offers.

All they can do is play the schedule they are given. OSU has a history of playing some tough OOC games at times. If your winning your games and have a shot at playing for championships, kids are going to want to be a part of it.

I have no doubt that given their schedule that we would perform much better and end with a better record, I just don't see how that works vice versa. If they bring in a top ten recruiting class every year and have a good coach (Tressel and Meyer are scum but also damn good coaches) then they could probably compete in the SEC equal to the capacity of UF or LSU. (Give them Vandy's schedule and they'd probably be in the SEC Championship game)

They have one of the Weakest Schedules in the country according to The Sports Animal!!!! It's easy to go Undefeated if you play all the cupcakes and are in the BIG10!!!
