'15 TN ATH Jocquez Bruce (UT commit 6/17/14)

Can somebody please tell me how many we red shirted out of the 32 of the 14 class and there names please, Thank you very much.

Looks like he will be a RB...

"@JocBruce06: Just so all of yall know, I will be playing RunningBack at The University Of Tennessee next year"

Ya don't say? When you have Hurd & Kamara taking all the carries for 2-3 years, serviceable RBs like this kid make a lot of sense. At least to me they do.

What about Paulk? Where does that leave him then if Treyvon comes back?

IMO it leaves him as a Tennessee Vol which is all he cares about. He'll play in the slot, possibly as a DB, and would be a serviceable RB in the event of injury/emergency. Not every kid can/will be a starter. There are only so many starting spots and an 85 man roster. Serviceable players are much needed throughout the year.

All you can do is laugh sometimes.

I mean if we don't have 7-8 SEC "Proven", "Starter type" RBs what in the world are we going to do? :birgits_giggle:

Lol.... And nobody ever said that... You said we only need 2 SEC running backs and don't need anymore quality backs. Every poster and the coaches obviously disagree, and your feelings are still hurt. Do they ever get unhurt?

I laughed at this too.... Don't act like this helps your drivel. It makes you look even more dumb. The coaches and he already knew this right? Yet still recruiting RB's?

You need 4-5 SEC caliber running backs to make it through practice each week and then play on Saturday.

Anyone who doubts that needs to go back and watch the Vandy game again.

I can't believe he said that!

Nah. According to Leb you only need like 2 SEC caliber RBs. And he knows way more than anyone else about things like this.

I don't get all the people who know how to do this better than the coaches getting paid to do it. If Bruce wants a shot a rb, then he should get that shot. Hurd could have a season ending injury the first game. Kamara could go down in the next practice. We need depth. Injuries happen often to rb's and We need competent players ready to come in and tote the ball. This kid bleeds Orange and has some serious speed. I see no reason that he can't compete for a spot on the depth chart.

You hush your mouth with all of those scenarios!

I know, I know! This one guy keeps saying that Hurd and Kamara Will get all the touches the next 2 years though. I hope it's true but this is big boy football where ish happens regularly. High ankles and labrum are a beach!

He also said we don't need any backs for 2 or 3 years because of that. Even gave some examples that contradicted his ridiculous argument. Pure gold I tell ya! I hope his vacation ends up being permanent.

I've said for quite some time with Perry & Bruce in the class, I saw no need at all for a "3rd RB". Always said they would sign Kamara and 1 more. 2 RBs made sense to me with there being several other serviceable options on the roster IF it came to that. Hurd, Kamara, Paulk(if reinstated), RDAIV, Pickett, Reid(or his replacement), plus guys like Bruce and Perry.

"They need to sign 3 or maybe even 4 in this class, we need "proven" guys 5-6 deep!!"

Yeah, I didn't think so. :zeitung_lesen:

I said sign 2 RBs in 2015, and 2 for 2016. Simple recruiting concept. Space them out, and maybe they stick long term.
