Man I'm rooting for Joc.. I hope he shows out this summer and gets an offer.. I'm just afraid that with just a few schollies for next class things might not work out with the numbers.. Hopefully butch makes some room.

Die hard Vol fan, yes. But he wouldn't push.

Wouldn't have to.. If he gets an offer I think he's a Vol.. Growing up in knoxville with no ties to other schools... Why wouldn't he wanna be a Vol??

Oh and his coach is from UT

South Doyle should be pretty loaded next year, so they should go deep in the playoffs, giving him more opportunity to put up numbers and show out.

“It was great. Everything was just right,” said Bruce[.] As soon as I walked up in there, I knew that that’s the place I want to go. That’s how good it looked. I don’t know (what it was). I’m comfortable with everybody. It’s like I’ve known them before. We just get along.”

“They said they want me around more and to get me to a camp (this summer), so I’m going to start going to the practices when they start up in the spring. I think the first one’s March 7, and I’ll be there. I’ll try to go to as many as I can so we can just bond.”

“They’re recruiting me as a running back,” said Bruce, who rushed for 1,936 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior. “They said they want to see me at a camp and (see if I can) get a good 40 time.”

“I don’t know. I think it’s just because they’re underdogs,” Bruce said. “I like playing for an underdog team, as you can tell. My high school, we’re underdogs. And I’ve just been around (Tennessee) all my life. I grew up watching them. I used to like them and Florida State. They were my main two teams I always liked — and Oregon.”

He said his HS coach has been contacted by Texas A&M and LSU, and they want Bruce to come to their camps as well. So, big schools are showing interest.

Coaches have some time now to see if Swinney wants onboard or not. If he chooses to go elsewhere, maybe Bruce gets that spot. IF more spots become available over the next several months, maybe they can take both.

This kid is one of the best RBs i have seen in a while. I really like how he can cut on a dime and does not lose any speed doing it. And he can break arm tackles! He gains 20 pds and keeps his speed and he will be awesome! JMO

I watched him play last year against Jefferson Co. He definitely has that extra gear you want at the next level, great looking athlete

Overall disappointing testing results & measurables. Decent numbers and great quickness in the shuttle, but not the eye-popping numbers one would desire out of an undersized, local ATH.

If you want to take a flier on a local kid, take Cottrell. So much more dynamic and versatile with elite speed. He can play DB, RB, WR and KR. 50 points higher on his SPARQ and .3 seconds faster.

Interestingly enough, Bruce and Cottrell should square off in the 2nd round of the playoffs this year.
