'15 TN ATH Jocquez Bruce (UT commit 6/17/14)

Just had a long conversation with someone close to this situation. The Power T incident is not the only instance of disrespect by Bruce. And its alot deeper than just one missed class. Cutting ties with Joc was the best move for the University both now and going forward.

I figured it had to be a series of events to result in a suspension.

I heard he double dipped chips in the salsa bowl and hates puppies

TIFWIW

Notorious, any clue where the "racism" angle fits into this story, or is that just a case of sour grapes from Bruce's family?

Sounds like Joc was being a punk, but it's disappointing if Croom knocked the kid down with only words as provocation.

A lot of variables here. What words where said? How close in Croom's personal space was he when he said these words? Not to mention, one of the respected posters on here just stated there was more to it than a one time incident or a couple of words. Have Croom run some steps and let him and the team know they can't go around decking people, but outside of that nothing more needs to be said about it. It bothers me this leaked out even for discussion. It disappoints me that we have a lot of guys that apparently haven't played competitive sports saying how a person is supposed to act in a given situation. I trust the coaches know who the instigator was based on one's on the team looking to have a breakout year. While the other one squandered a golden opportunity and and has his mom wanting to bury everyone else for her son's on poor behavior.

Elaborate if you can. What were the other incidents?

I saw Justin Martin liked her post

First, he gets the bright idea to argue with the head coach and doesn't stop until Maggitt puts him in his place and he almost leaves the team over it. Then Martin supports a mom calling our coaching staff a bunch of racists and trying to make it seem as if her son was the victim in this situation, when in fact he sounds like he was a cancer to the team...

It's amazing how fast Martin has become my least favorite player on the team.

Since Debord is Old School... I wonder why he didn't just have them lace up some boxing gloves and settle things like they did Back in the Day.

Really starting to think its quite obvious why this kid had to go JUCO. I'm wishing him the best of luck and hoping he's starting to get things on track, but beginning to assume he won't be much of a factor in the future of Tennessee football.

If Martin makes it to the first game of the season he'll be fine. Talent, performance, and recognition cure a lot of ills for both sides.

There was nothing to dodge. I was very surprised by this take. But the coaches do what they want. I hope we use spots like this better from here on out.

He had some potential. Could have been a good slot or special teams utility guy.

However, i'm not in the least bit worried about losing him- problem child or not.

I'm not sure why he is getting this much attention

As litigious as this country is, I think people actual got genuinely concerned that the player who dealt with him would face charges.

How many fools did you have to drop in the locker room?

Good point, sir and that is totally possible.

I won't say a player's name, but we had a few guys that would deal with those situations. not just me...

team 119 has some good leadership.
Tough veteran guys like Maggitt and JRM

Croom might have just turned a corner.
Hurd is a good young leader.
And Dobbs is everything you want in a QB.
