Ugo said academics were a huge part in his decision. He said LSU has top notch academics. Not an academics guru but aren't they bottom 2 in the SEC??

I know it's all relative, but these are the numbers for the freshman class in 2013. I didn't see 2014. For those that want to continue to bash UT academics, they are improving immensely. Just running a quick check, UT's average ACT score was a little over a point more than LSU and about a point less than UGA.

Haven't followed this one much but the chavis to A&m thing seems to be exactly why we saw uno move up his decision to today

IMO Lsu forced his hand and said now or never because they needed him on board(to get Phillips) before the news hit about chavis

This is how kids get pushed into decisions in such an unfair way many times in this dirty game of recruiting

So he is going to be an EE and isn't in an All Star game. Wonder why he didn't go ahead and sign papers. I think he needs to get the ink on them ASAP or he could find himself looking if Phillips doesn't go there and Chavis heads to TAM. I could see him ending up at UK.

Hearing the same thing from some aggie family members of mine. Apparently he and Brick Haley told the team before the bowl game and are gone after.

Recruiting of Ugo is not over and yeah I'd say this turns Philips on its head! Surprised chavis would leave lsu but they called his bluff I guess.

Meh, he has plenty of choices like many at that level do. Being forced to make decisions is part of it. If you dont like being put on the spot that way maybe thats not the place for you.

He has spurned us 2x now...don't want him anymore. If he did decommit again and choose us, how committed to the program would he actually be? Esp if he doesn't get much playing time next year...I could see him transferring out and that goes for whatever school he finally signs with.
