'15 TN OT Drew Richmond (Former Ole Miss commit)

It's the drama of that old school fax machine kicking into gear and the anticipation building as the fax rolls out. Everybody holds their breath until the name is announced-- or until Butch attaches that brick with a name on it to our wall. ESPN loves that.

Best thing for UT now IMO is if as Drew is leaving Knoxville he tells VQ he is going quiet, no calls from anyone, and every one will know his decision when the fax comes in.

As long as he's been committed to Ole Miss the right thing to do is call Hugh and tell him what he intends to do. For UTs sake, hopefully he doesn't. That call could go all sorts of bad.

This thread has blown up so much in the last week I can barely keep up. I have oly had time to keep up with it, the tweets thread, and the Pat Allen thread. Any of the other one's have any significant new info in them?

Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time. Beautiful women are just better. Archaeology is a science, not a religion. Humans are overpopulating the planet. Bourbon goes in the glass by itself. Richmond will be a Vol.

Besides the Pink Floyd part. I agree but it's your opinion and I respect it. God bless Merica and the big orange.

I agree with all of this (even the Floyd, because they are the greatest).

That's an alibi man. Seeing how big of a mistake hemade hhe's said things like...Well in my defense Dobbs is one of those guys that doesn't practice well bla bla bla.
It doesn't matter at this point. Doubt Butch makes the same mistake again. Hes said unequivocally Dobbs is the man moving forward. Now let's just enjoy the hell out of what's happening in recruiting. It may not ever happen again!

Based on Dobbs' inconsistency passing the ball, starting Worley wasn't a mistake. Makes total sense they thought Dobbs need a redshirt year for development. Dobbs is exciting, but he still has a long way to go as a passer.

Drew gonna commit real old school style...

Pretty sure a league who will employ an ex-con dog killer, wife beaters, & drug addicts will overlook an 18 year olds tweet...

You are right. But if anyone knows the inner workings of the NFL Draft it would be REGGIE. He knows every spot you drop in draft picks on day 1 is $100,000's of dollars. With his spot on the Raiders front office, he knows more about what they look at than any of us do. I am sure Kahlil had remorse about the text but I would not be surprised if his dad or uncle did talk to him about it.

OK. Was not sure how the court viewed it since a scan can be manipulated where a fax cannot.

I'd like to see Drew drop a flaming bag of his own crap in front of Freeze's door on signing day. But I'm worried whether the courts could count this as his "signature" if they match it to his DNA. If there any lawyers on here that could verify, I'd appreciate it.

Faxes are still legal documents not sure about a scan and email.

A fax is just a scan sent to a printer on the other end of a phone line.

E-sign works fine for FASFA. All this is just about fax cams and NSD drama.

I'm sure the courts would say no way on that one since there would be no document with any legal wording.:loco:

Federal courts require electronic filing with an e-signature that isn't a real signature. All PDF files. So, yes, they are legal documents.

As a previous poster said, you can use a napkin. You can write a holographic will on a napkin, and it can be binding.

Just pulled this off an Ole Miss forum. Talk about delusional...

"Been reflecting on the Drew Richmond recruitment and pondering some things that may need to be considered. Ole Miss is an elite program still needing depth. With our first team talent we were a legitimate national championship contender. Even with our injury attrition, we still won nine games and had victories over top twenty teams. Next year we will add more depth and be in much better shape and finish stronger. UT is far away from his home and the program is always looking at next year. They haven't arrived and they way they're over-signing and having people leave, they may never arrive. A team needs continuity and caring coaches. Tennessee may alway be waiting on next year. Ole Miss is continuing to build something special. Should Drew Richmond decide to sign with us, he'll be part of it. If not, he'll miss out. We will continue to be an elite program and do hope he's with us."

Not sure if serious.
