That's very true, my post was just taken wrong I hope. They told me some things about Vonn Bell's recruitment (worse than I thought), and they said that Drew wasn't recruiting other players to Ole Miss while he was here. But to the point they just said he would make a decision and it would be known wednesday. But I won't speak to them again before Wednesday so I don't have anything else.

Sounds good, brother. I did perceive it differently than you intended. No biggie though. Keep on keeping on.

Haha. I remember going to the 1997 UT-Arkansas game in Little Rock. If anyone else has been to that stadium, you know it's a dump. The parking lot is a big grass field. We had gotten out and were either tailgating or just hanging around for a few when a UT fan pulls up, rolls down his window, points, and asks the parking attendant if that was the stadium. The attendant said yes, and he responded, "That is a damn high school stadium." Got some laughs for sure.

It's funny too. Going back to OM, there was a lot of orange in Oxford. OM barely brought 1000 fans to Neyland in 2010.

"I just hate TN fans.....they are douches....sat by one at the Tennessee game and he claimed we had a high school stadium....even called it cute....just disrespectful."

I think that was me.

It was... You were sitting 2 seats behind me 1 row up and to the left....

I think he actually said it looked like a high school stadium... I think you agreed and said it was cute...

I laughed at it...:)

LOL since when has OM EVER been an elite program? Sure they have an occasional good year or two but other than that they've barely been a notch above Vandy/UK level. They are the only team in the West to have never been to the SEC CG (TAM doesn't count).

"In an SI.com Mailbag in 2003, I coined the term 'Auburn/Clemson Syndrome' to describe the phenomenon by which fans of historically second-tier programs delude themselves into thinking that one isolated period of greatness -- like Clemson's 1981 national title season -- is more representative of their team's rightful place in the sport's hierarchy than its other one hundred or so years of football.
"...Since that time, however, Auburn has posted an undefeated season...Therefore...I hereby rename the phenomenon "Ole Miss/Clemson Syndrome.'"

As of last night Drew hadn't given Tennessee a commitment. Was told he would do it today if he was going to.
Why would he want to get Hugh's panties in a wad? He don't have to say a word until Wednesday. All he has to do Wednesday is tell Ole Piss thanks but no thanks then sign with Tennessee and fax it.

We were just having a good time. We knew it was going to get ugly. Ole Miss fans took offense. :)

Not at all. Vonn was an uncommitted virtual Tennessee lock. EVERYONE knew he was coming to UT. Richmond just feels like a strong flip candidate.

Whatcha mean? We finished 3rd for Bell. Butch made a nice push late, but ultimately didn't have enough time to recruit him.

I think that either DR will be a Vol on NSD or we will find out very soon that he won't be (before Wednesday morning).

Butch is very good at managing the perception of the program, and he won't let another Vonn Bell situation happen. If Richmond hadn't committed over the weekend, the VQ guys would be much, much more cautious in their wording about his visit/status right now to avoid building insane hype.

Obviously Richmond could have committed to Tennessee silently and then change his mind before Wednesday, but I think Butch will be in communication with him and won't let it come down to us possibly getting blindsided (get it?) if his LOI ends up in Oxford on NSD.

The longer it goes with Hubbs/Fort saying we're in good shape, the more likely it is he's a Vol.

Frankly, from everyone we've talked to, Tennessee has done everything they could have in terms of convincing Drew to be a Vol.

We certainly believe Tennessee has a lot of momentum exiting Drew's visit but now the race really begins. As we've said today on the board, the next 48-72 hours are critical as the Vols have made a very, very strong surge here this weekend.

The good signs aren't just coming from Tennessee either, as it's been indicated to us from Oxford, Miss., that Richmond hasn't returned texts of current Ole Miss players throughout the weekend and was basically cut off from the Ole Miss staff this weekend.

Obviously, a lot of good coming from this weekend but now it's a matter of holding on down the stretch.
