This always happens with commitments. Everything starts trending towards the Vols, then like clockwork a handful of posters randomly appear and start a train of negativity.

This page might crash the site tonight. Everybody here wants him. We don't have any good inside info except for what GFW is bringing forth. Let the speculation go. It's only a day away.

He said he wasn't going to announce anything before he came on the UT OV. He would just send in his LOI on NSD. Anyone looking for him to say anything before then imo is looking for something he said would not come.

I think it's just the people that think he will stick with OM that are present right now which gives this thread a blah feeling at the present time. Plenty of us think he will be a Vol but those people aren't around right now. That said, Richmond will be a Vol on NSD. :wink2:

That's understandable.

1) Memphis recruit (MUS at that)
2) His mom has clearly been in the OM corner until now and probably still prefers that Drew go there.
3) He has been committed for almost five months to OM and Tenn hasn't flipped a high profile recruit this late since I have been following recruiting.

...and yet let's remember that our staff had moved on and it was Drew that renewed contact. The Ole Miss staff by all accounts pleaded with Drew to not take the OV to Knoxville this past weekend and he not only did it anyway but brought his mother and uncle along as well. It's also apparent that he has been telling our players that he will sign with Tennessee (even our own Bob Mueller has posted this). I think Richmond is a Vol.

Relax people. We'll be ok whatever the outcome. Yes, I certainly hope for Mr. Richmond. But if he chooses Ole Miss, UT football will go on.

I was making fun of Bob myself... but show me where he has been wrong. He was definitely ahead of the curve on Vic Wharton and Ryan Jenkins xferring.

If it was 100% up to dr I believe he'd be here no doubt. His mom likes ole miss and its a lot closer than Knoxville and a lot of people are in his ear about ole miss. Hope he wakes up on signing day and goes with what he wants more than making everybody around him happy and folding to the pressure.

Ok I went out to eat with the lady and came home to watch Blacklist. I open this thread and I'm 15 pages behind... Can someone catch me up to speed?

1. Did Austin Price/Hubbs release the videos or was that WVLT's doing?

2. What were the videos? I tried clicking on the link and it said "page not found"

3. Did Price say anything like DR is headed to UT?

It looks like the videos were just released on WVLT by some idiotic staffer or something.

The videos were pre-filmed segments for NSD announcing that recruits had signed with us. Drew Richmond and Patrick Allen had one, and I think Boulware.

Price *did* say that Richmond had sent in his papers. But, that does not mean anything. They filmed this *in case* he sent in his papers on Wednesday so they could be the first to publish the story.

The fact that the video was made does not mean that Price has evidence, let alone proof, that Richmond is signing with us. It only means that it is open-ended enough to warrant speculation on Signing Day, but that there is enough evidence to think that we have a chance.

Again, this is just like a company pre-printing Super Bowl Winner T-Shirts. Just because they made a bunch of T-Shirts for Seattle winning the Super Bowl doesn't mean that they have insider information. It just means that they're running their business in a competent way given the interest in getting things out quickly.
