Yeah he's the real deal. As an aside, CAK's defense is usually BAD.

The thing about Ethan Thomas is the yards he gets after contact. He has good speed, balance and excellent instincts and vision, but what sets him apart is how he breaks tackles.

He shredded my alma mater last night, and he does run hard. He has put on a lot more muscle this year, and he uses it well.

Ethan Thomas had 214 yards and 2 TDs in last nights Elizabethton-Science Hill game; the Toppers won 40-35, stopping Thomas at the one yard line as the game expired.

Went watched the game tonight.It was against Tennessee High.Thomas had 300 by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Ethan Thomas had 312 yards rushing on 24 carries with 4 TDs as the Cyclones blew out Tennessee High at the Stone Castle tonight 35-13; and he hardly played in the fourth quarter. This kid is a beast. I hope our coaches are taking notice........

He had 32 carries for 187yards and a 45-yard pass to account for 232 of ElizabethtonÂ’s 276 total yards against Greeneville in a 49-20 loss.

He does have a soft offer from duke, and this kid is unreal to watch in person. He's a brusing back that often breaks 3-5 tackles in route 5-10 yard gains. Can't wait to watch him as a senior.

In interest of full disclosure...I am an Elizabethton homer :D

Bump. Through 4 games Ethan has 764 yards on 58 carries. 13.2 ypc. 11 tds.


His stock is definitely rising. Would love to see him in orange.

I would offer him a preferred walk on and make a full back out of him. He's 5'11 208 on his recruiting profile and says he squats 600. If that's correct then he could clear a hole for Hurd and Kamara. If he isn't slow then he could be a Shawn Bryson type weapon that we haven't had in years.

I don't completely disagree but 13 ypc is insane no matter who youre playing...


Also, im glad the UT staff didnt think the same thing about Witten. Also Swafford and Foreman didnt play that much better competition and Swafford has been starting. ..
