I want to get something straight before I come off as hating on this kid. I watched him play several time over the years, and have met the kid before as my brother is in HS at a local school. Great kid. I just do not believe he is UT material, I fully expect him to be very successful wherever he chooses.

I agree sort of. Do you think his overall game (speed,, smarts, athleticism, vision , etc) is lacking or that he doesn't have break a way speed? Seriously this dude is strong.

I think he has good speed, great for who he's playing now. It's obvious he's a very strong kid, and I understand the argument that kids from the Tri-Cities play/start at UT, but when I watch him, I don't get the Wow factor I do when I watch the other RBs we are after, I think he in college is going to be a 'cloud of dust' runner, hard to bring down, can burn you if the D busts assignments and let him loose, but not a true home run threat. I'm stacking him up against Love, Frazier, Newsome for one of our last few spots in the class and I just don't see it happening. I think he would succeed best at GT or Georgia Southern or hometown ETSU, and by no means is that a shot at the kid, they are just better fits for his style IMO.

I would offer him a preferred walk on and make a full back out of him. He's 5'11 208 on his recruiting profile and says he squats 600. If that's correct then he could clear a hole for Hurd and Kamara. If he isn't slow then he could be a Shawn Bryson type weapon that we haven't had in years.

Where is Kamara?

I've watched him several times myself. I think you are correct in your assessment.

I believe he had to redshirt this year...:hi:

Redshirts are given at the end of the year if the kid did not play. It is a way to give a kid an extra year of eligibility. It was designed to give kids a year of college S&C before hitting the field, it has evolved into other things however.

As an elizabethton citizen I'd have to say you're wrong. How fast does he have to be? Is a 4.5 40 much better than a 4.6? He is benching over 400 lbs and squats 600. Kid is a mule. Obviously we need a back that has good yards after contact because with our Oline he will definately be hit. And also the blocks the kid can make for his QB speaks for itself after the beat down Worley took the other night. You can say his size hurts him all you want but he isn't linebacker size...look at Bo Jackson... That's just my 2 cents so take it how ya want but I think he is a great fit for our backfield.
