Everyone's favorite TE who we've yet to offer, just got offered by LSU.

I'm fine with whatever Butch does. But I do wonder if this may be the best offer list for an in-state player without a Tennessee offer, in a long time. Maybe ever.

Sure, Harris will play TE, not DE, but Sawyers won't be playing OT either. He just gets physically abused by Sawyers.

Edit: Gets flung aside trying to down block on him also.

If Carr is leaving and opening up an extra scholarship for us (I think the word 'scholly' is stupid), I'd love it if Butch used it on this kid.

Just read the article about Jackson and it said he was going to delay his decision a little bit. Must have been getting a lot of pressure from other schools.

Carr is leaving and it is opening up another spot. Still a long way to go and a lot more kids need to leave just to take 20 this year. 15 total spots as of today. 12 of those are currently spoken for by commitments.

I can't help but think something happened early on in Jackson's recruitment that turned the staff off of him. They did not like something and more less pushed him aside. Kind of sucks because it's pretty obvious the rest of the SEC and most big time programs see something our coaches don't. It is what it is. If we can land Angel and Middleton gets his crap together, TE in 2016 would be very strong.

Have we offered this kid yet? Saw him just the other day. All I've heard is that he liked Vandy before Franklin left. Also is very high on Alabama.

I think the staff doesn't see him as better than Wolf or Helm and doesn't want to use a scholarship on someone who will be a backup for 3 or 4 seasons.

Maybe our staff sees something in him, that others schools don't see.

I think our staff wants TEs who are either exceptionally physical, athletic (Helm), or a blend of both (Wolf). Harris isn't all that physical and is more of a receiving threat. However, he's not as athletic as someone like Helm. That's not to say he's not a good TE with a lot of potential.

I just think our staff doesn't see him as worthy of a scholarship at the moment because we already have (in their opinion) superior TEs. With number likely being somewhat tight in this class, I think they'd rather wait on someoe like Gabe Angel since the truly elite TEs are mostly already out of play.
