Totally agree. That is who you'd think would be leaned on during this process with his experience both as a player and coach. Just baffling he's in the background on this because I've seen mention on here numerous times that the mother apparently thinks she is a football expert and knows everything there is to know about the sport. LOL
What a circus this kids recruitment has turned into. Lol.
IIRC, you only have to have one parent sign your LOI. So couldnt he just tell mom to go **** herself, let dad sign it and go where he wants? It's not the kid, it's clearly the mother. You can tell from dconley's posts that the kid (and dad) really doesn't want to go to Ole Miss, but that is what he mother wants. Michigan sounds like a much better option for him to be honest. They at least have a quality QB in the fold and I'm sure dad would be much more comfortable with him there than Ole Miss.
He is a highschool kid. The opinion of my parents is still very important, and I'm a grown man with a highly successful career.
Just let it go and cheer on the guys that we do have coming.
If mom was involved in this as much as people claim, maybe she should have been focused on him having the proper classes completed to sign with an SEC if that was what he wanted. Jmo
Sometimes patents can get to involved but as a parents you just want what's best for your child. Mothers never want their kids far from home in these situations and sometimes fathers are living vicariously through their kids. I remember watching Landon Collins mother and feeling embarrassed for him, hopefully this kid makes the best decision for him and his mother supports that decision.
If he can't qualify for Georgia...then he has no shot at Michigan.
