'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

The up and down recruitment from Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood Class of 2015 star wide receiver Van Jefferson looks like it will finally come to a conclusion by the end of the summer. Is that good news for the Buckeyes?

You could make the argument. Ohio State will definitely get another visit from the four-star prospect before that decision is made.*
Van, his mother, and his father – Tennessee Titans wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson - will all be coming to Columbus on July 16. The Jefferson family says is Van’s last college visit before a decision is made in July or August. The timing of the visit is not a coincidence, as OSU requested the last of the summer trips and that wish was granted by Van, who has had the Buckeyes at the front of his recruitment for most of the way.

Tennessee has been surging the last month or two. But we spoke to a source close to the recruitment who still think the Bucks may have the edge in this one.

"Yes, I hear all the Tennessee smoke," the source said. "But have you seen Urban Meyer's closer stuff? I think this visit is the one that seals it for Ohio State, even if the Vols 'currently lead'. I know OSU was his top choice for a while and I just think he'll get that feeling of home and comfort again to reassure him. Having*both*parents there is a big deal to me too and that says they're talking business, not just a courtesy look. I think whether he picks UT or OSU that both schools will still go after him until Signing Day, so this one won't be completely over no matter how he picks. But right now I would advise your guys not to change their Crystal Ball picks.
Anonymous buckeye source sounds desperate.

What is a blue font statement again? I keep seeing this pop up. Where did it originate from?

It originated from me a couple of months ago. As a joke. People ran with it and it won't die.

Oddly enough......I have never used the blue font....lol

Edit: LV had made a comment in a thread saying that maybe he should have typed something in blue font so someone would understand it was sarcasm. I went into another thread and said that VN had voted and blue font would be used to indicate sarcasm from now on. I guess people believed me.

You didn't type it in blue font, so they thought you were serious.

Basically all I need to know. :salute:

Even if we can't pull this guy...we just so happen to have the #1 ranked athlete (TG) waiting in the wings. Not worried about it...if this guy wants to play his college ball against the Minnesota's, Illinois's, and Indiana's of the world then so be it. If he wants to maximize his potential by going against the best then he will choose UT

Van Jefferson, a Top247 wide receiver from Brentwood, Tenn., ran a 3.97-second shuttle, recorded a 33-foot power-ball toss and posted a 30.1-inch vertical. Jefferson is the son of former NFL wide receiver Shawn Jefferson, who’s now the Tennessee Titans’ wide receivers coach.

That's a crazy shuttle/power ball combo for someone his size.
