This fact isn't lost to anyone that follows CFB but the gap is closing...fast.
Damarkus Lodge
5*
Composite Ranking #1
The Crystal Ball:
Baylor 64%
Texas 18%
A&M 14%
tOSU 5%
What we and y'all need are the arms that fit our schemes to get them the ball.
Uhhh, who said the Vols won't be great again? Not me. All I'm saying is you pump your chest out on history. Sure we can and should learn from it, that's why Baylor is pumping millions into the arms race now, we've learned.
With that being said, we live in the here and now. The here and now is this:
2013 Season:
Baylor>OU>Bama>UT
Hell, we got our butts kicked by UCF in the Fiesta Bowl. There's hope for everyone. This is a QB thread and I won't make you look it up, I'm on record here as saying that if Jarrett doesn't come to Baylor I want him in Knoxville.
Our pipeline is loaded at QB now with two more coming in 2015.
Am I the only one hear who has a lot of respect for what Art Briles has done at Baylor?
Granted they play in the Big 12, but the Big 12 has some solid teams at the top. I'd sure as he'll rather see BU winning games than OU, OSU, or Texas.
No, you're not the only one. Tremendous amount of respect for what Coach Briles has done there, really impressive, fun team to watch, legit building of a program. Just not a lotta respect for one of their fans coming onto my program's site talking smack based on the last 6 years and discounting the importance of being the 8th winningest program in the history of college football.
It's working out for me just fine. I was just making a point in relation to your comment that you feel baylor is all a sudden the top notch WR landing spot. The worst coach in UT history signed more top quality WRs than baylor has recently. He just could not coach them to do anything but proper shower technique. CBJ will not only bolster WRU recruiting wise, he will win as well. baylor will always be a 2nd rate program in a 3rd rate conference. baylor will always be, well baylor. :zeitung_lesen:
It's not pumping our chest out of history. We are in a down period, not relying on history. That would be like ole miss saying they are gonna be good because they were good in the 70's. That's history and not an indication of things to come. That's not where we are. Nobody is good all the time, all the elite programs go down at some point. We have just been down 6 years and there are many things that say we will be good again and make us elite. When Boise St. was good for a few years and bama was down, you still knew who was elite and who would be good more often that not.
I didn't see it as smack talking at all.
