'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

He's dangerously close to reaching the 5 DAY STAY!!! Which...you know?...is kinda important.

I will hold off excitement until he reaches that 10 days stay. thats the real level when we know he is serious everything else until then doesn't prove anything. TIFWIW, JMO. :eek:k: :)

Dormady and his family plan to spend a couple more days in Knoxville before heading home to Texas.

Dormady's dad is his high school coach. I watched a video with Quinten and his dad and his dad didn't have a Texas accent. I wonder if he is a Texas transplant and might consider looking for a job in Tn to be closer so the family can watch Quinten play college ball. Could be interesting.

Good to see Quinten Dormady and his family staying in Knoxville a few extra days. This give Dormady time to spend working with Manning. That is a strong selling point. This kid is sticking.

Agreed. He seems committed to the cause.

His dad is probably getting some good pointers too. Isn't he the coach of Quinten's team? Maybe they can install some of the terminology and system so Q can get a jump on the offense...

I'm no Jon Gruden, but his arm looks dangerous fo sho.
TGibs is more than welcome in orange, I don't know why anybody wouldn't want his commitment on this forum. He could be a dangerous weapon. I know there is need at other positions but TGibs could be another WR. Who knows what will happen with Woods, as of now a Vol. But Williams, Jefferson and TGibs would be a nice WR crop. Or if Jefferson sells his soul to Urbie, TGibs could be very important to land. The numbers will work out. Jennings has tons of potential as well, I really think he will end up in the secondary.

QD is very important, love what I've seen of his film, but no way we turn down TGibs. They both are great talents, and TG might be another WR, or a solid QB.

It's actually very freaking exciting, Vols deserve to be great again.

TG would be a great pick up as a WR, which is where he will play if he comes to UT.

As LV has stated, Woods is probably a numbers casualty. Maybe Joc Bruce is being slotted as a CB and not in the slot?

Still we have some serious numbers and needs to sort out. We can't win championships with a roster full of QBs and WRs and not enough defensive linemen, linebackers, cornerbacks, and offensive linemen.

I thought they worked Joc mainly in the slot at camp? Who knows how things will work out, but I'm sure they will. I also wonder if they talked to him about maybe gray shirting, and being an early enrollee in the 2016 class.

Luginbill hangs on my every word.

Even the prepositions.

If I am a recruit and have paid attention to what happened to Jerome Dews, there is not a chance in this world I would "wait" to sign with UT in HOPE that things worked out and I had a spot the following year.

I'm not bashing the staff, but obviously a recruit going that route is not a smart move.

Exactly. I'd make sure my butt was an EE to be safe.

Ahh.... Absolutes again

There is a logical reason why Butch Jones offered Quinten Dormady and an even more logical reason why Dormady committed to Tennessee. He is going to be the only pro-style QB in this signing class and a pro-style QB that matches just what Butch Jones has been trying to recruit talent to fit his scheme. Boom.

Following up Dormady/Jennings with Austin Kendall in 2016 would put UT in a very good situation going forward.

I am a fan of signing one QB per class. That way you do not have QB logjams and do not have QBs from the same class transferring out because of the logjams, which throws your recruiting for a loop and then you are behind the 8 ball because you recruited too many people to a position and they are not producing or leaving school-wasting scholarships.

They'll get there. Been a tough go the last few classes. I agree with you for the most part.
