'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

The Rockets hounded Boerne’s standout quarterback Quinten Dormady and smothered Greyhound receivers in the secondary all night.

...Dormady, a University of Tennessee commit, threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns, but he needed 43 attempts to get there. He was also picked off twice during a stretch in the first half in which he missed 10 straight throws.

Dormady was the Greyhounds’ leading rusher as well with only 14 yards on 12 carries.

“The plan was to make him uncomfortable, and our guys did that,” Allison said.

Robinson sniffs out Boerne’s tactics, shuts down air attack, 45-14

Ouch

Wasn't Cole Stoudt (Clemson QB playing right now) a top QB coming out of high school? And Jeff Driskel was a 5 star and we see how he turned out. Lets get Dormady in here and redshirted first.

Edit: just looked and Stoudt was a 3-star on Rivals.

I don't think Cole Stoudt is a great endorsement for 3-star qbs becoming successful college qbs.

Played like a 5.5 3*

The senior quarterback threw for three touchdowns and 230 yards on 43 throws but was also picked off twice. The Greyhounds finish the season 8-3 following the 45-21 loss to Robinson High School.

He'll be the 2nd string quarterback at Tennessee behind Dobbs in 2015. Nathan Peterman will transfer to somewhere like Chattanooga where he can transfer without having to sit a season.

Chattanooga's QB is pretty good and the coach's son...he a senior ?

Edit: Checked...he's a junior. Bet Peterman sans injury would have to sit a year anyway.

Peterman's opportunity to transfer to an FBS school came and went this past year. If he transferred to one now, he'd have to sit out his Jr year then hope to start as a Sr.

His two options are to stay at UT hoping to remain #2 in case someone gets hurt... I honestly doubt he can hold on to #2 if the new guys develop.... or to transfer to an FCS school.

Not sure if the timing would work right for him but Charlotte would be an interesting option. They're going FBS sometime soon. Charleston, The Citadel, Western Carolina, UTM, EKU, and Furman are the other options within a close distance from K'ville. I'm not sure how many FCS schools there are in FL. Isn't there one in Jacksonville?

Charlotte already has a former Tennessee quarterback in Riley Ferguson

Charlotte will be FBS next year, so that's not an option. I wouldn't be surprised of he stayed to finish his degree, then transferred looking for playing time his last year. Although I'd say it's pretty 50/50 on if he transfers after the season.
