Two things Ppl need to remember. He picked us over BAMA. The recruitment of Gibson is not over. Absolutely No One should be disappointed with this commitment.

I'd be surprised if they attempted to take 3 QBs in this class. Your just about closing the door on 2016 QBs if you do. IMO QB for 2015 is done. They will still "recruit" QBs as it makes sense to do so throughout the process. Would not be surprised at all if we don't see anymore QBs visit UT. Would also like to hear QD is shutting it down as Jennings has. If so, I think we are done at QB this year.

We just got a committment fron a qb over Alabama and everyone is acting like this is the worst day in UT history. Our fanbase will never be satisfied. We deserve what we've been getting the last 7 years.

He has not been evaluated yet..4* on 247..Guess Gentry committing weeks ago to Texas said that.

You don't have to be a RUNNING QB In this system, how hard is that to understand?

I think some people could be thinking Butch's history with QB's suggest a prototypical QB for his offense but Dan LeFevour was recruited to CMU by Brian Kelly, Tony Pike was recruited to Cincinnati by Mark Dantonio and Pike was gone by the time Butch took over, and Zach Collaros was recruited to Cincinnati by Brian Kelly. So Brian recruits Dan which plays 3 years for Butch and Mark recruits Tony to play 3 years for Brian who recruits Zach to play 2 years for Butch. Got it?

I think Butch's last year at Cincy was the only year he had where he played with his recruited QB. I think Dobbs is our immediate future but I like Dormady because I really think we should be throwing the ball a lot with our talent at TE/RB/WR. If 247 is correct in their eval, this guy could be a really major get. jmo.

It seems the most important trait for our QB is that he be able to run PAST our stud wide receivers while they block for him...So why not cut out the middle man? :question:

I wasn't aware on Gentry committing to Texas, hopefully he will get a big bump in the next few months.

If someone like Gibson wants in, he will have a spot at QB. They aren't going to turn him away because of Dormady.
