Reading over some threads at a VT message board. Most of the posters considered him a lock at VT before today. They are trying to figure out why he wouldn't commit there. One theory is that a few top DEs (e.g. Sweat) will commit to VT, creating a logjam at that position, which might force Taylor to play DT.

Funniest comment revolved around how Butch Jones ran a dirty program at UNC and Miami, so it's no surprise he'd run a dirty program at Tennessee.

This is pretty lame, but I checked for the time of the game. It was supposed to start at 7:30, so theoretically, halftime should be around 9:00 - 9:30.

Funny how the obvious reason doesn't seem to show up- VT is a train wreck.
