'15 VA OL Matthew Burrell

Unfortunately, yes he's trolling. We aren't higher than third on his list and never will be IMO.

Adoree of this class

Not that worried about it. As long as we land one out of him, Richmond, Sweet, and Allen, I'll be happy. I think we land possibly two of those guys though.

Totally agree. Would be so happy to see either Burrell or Allen along with either Richmond or Sweet added to the 2015 class. These recruits along with the current commits would be a huge step in rebuilding the OL. 3 of the 4 would be incredible. But now I'm being greedy!!!!

Greedy is good in this situation.

where are we gonna put all these guys?

Sigh "Numbers always work themselves out." Some guys flip, some guys are their own academic casualty. It's not as if we're going to sign every verbal commitment or the coaches are going to go "Crap, 30 guys signed! What do we do?!?" Don't worry about it.

Does your missus work on Shelby? I have a coworker whose husband posts on here and I am trying to figure out who he is. There is not a whole lot of us Vol fans here in Hattiesburg.

No. She works for a senior care company. I am working on my doctorate at Southern. It is nice to know there are more of us here.

Of all the schools he could choose from, I am happy to be tied at the top. But being lumped up with tOSU and FSU annoys me.

“They showed me what I wanted to see,” Burrell said of Tennessee. “I really like it there. I felt at home. The players took care of me. I feel I can make an impact there early. They showed me what I wanted to see.”

Burrell felt his favorite part of the visit was a boat ride to coach Butch Jones’ house.

“They’ve had the best food (of any visit) so far,” Burrell said.

The U.S. Army All-American mentioned he has a rapport with several Tennessee commits including Kahlil McKenzie, Shy Tuttle and Jack Jones.

“Those are my boys,” Burrell said. “I hung with all of them and Quart’e Sapp, too. I think he is going to go (to Tennessee).”

Burrell was at Neyland Stadium that Saturday as 102,455 fans watched Florida defeat Tennessee, 10-9.

“Their atmosphere can compete with anyone,” Burrell said of Tennessee. “I loved the checkerboard (end zone).”

Burrell met with coach Butch Jones in his office before departing.

“He feels they are going to be powerful in the years to come and they are building something special,” Burrell said. “He said they’ve played the most true freshmen in the country. He said they need me. He said it’s a place I make myself better at.”

He spill the beans on Sapp? It's also cool he and McKenzie will hang out during the Army bowl.

They hit it off back in the summer at the Nike Camp. Kahlil dominated the camp. Burrell was the only offensive lineman there able to compete with him one on one. Allot of mutual respect between them I think.

It's invaluable when these recruits hit it off at camps like this. I do remember one rep where he flung Burrell to the ground like he was a 180-pound running back trying to block him. He did that to everybody though.

"Kahlil McKenzie is by far the best defensive line athlete I have ever been against, even when I loss or won i still felt pushed!!"

Just told 247 that Tennessee, FSU and Ohio State are all three tied at the top of his list.

Shucks, guys. He's taken the trolling thing to a new level...a level he had a hard time conjuring up just a couple weeks ago...

ESPN 300 offensive lineman Matt Burrell named Ohio State as his leader, followed by Florida State and Penn State. Alabama, Florida, LSU and Tennessee are still on the list, but it will be difficult to overtake those three.

...difficult? Not for CBJ
