'15 VA OT Austin Clark

If we land this Clark and Richmond, Richmond will definitely be a tackle and Stewart will be a guard IMO. Who do you guys think will be more likely to play guard between Clark and Jones?

That's kind of what I was thinking. Hopefully we land Richmond and Clark and let everything work itself out when they get here.

We need to make a push for him now. Seems like he really liked us and we slow played him.

Where are you getting this from? He had always stated we're at the top of his schools, and he's been taking his visits. No slow play at all. He's said multiple times he wants to make sure and stick with that school.

I think a lot more kids are being slow played than some fans want to believe. 99% of folks on here would have swore Harrell would have NEVER been slow played by the UT staff. He is a take all day everyday. He's one of the best in the country. He would never be slow played. Well, till he was and then committed to au.

Yeah I think that was pure speculation on the part of volnation. If someone goes somewhere else the staff wasn't ready to take their commitment and if they aren't committed yet we're slow playing them.

Seeing how you know everything, what gives you the impression Clark is being slow played?

Like most everything I say, It's my opinion. Having followed his recruitment, I feel IF Tennessee was willing to take his commitment, he would be a Vol right now. I understand he says he is letting it play out. I get he has several schools in the mix when asked. It's JMO. If he wants to be a Vol and UT is not ready to take him yet, his options are to "allow it to play out, or do as Harrell did and commit to another option. I get some feel we will without a doubt take 5-6 on the OL. I'm sure you have noted I do not feel that way. IMO Richmond is IT at this point. IF 7-8 more kids decide to leave UT, maybe another OL becomes an option. Coaches feel Richmond has fallen for osu sales pitch, maybe they take Clark and roll with it. As of now, I think Drew Richmond is it on the OL for 2015.

Danny Parker said he is somewhat down the board with the number of quality linemen we are in on currently

From February...

After he took probably 5 visits to UT in the past year and had great things to say every time. I'm just guessing here...

He's the f***ing magic conch bro

Miss Cleo IMO

Clark plans to cut it down to a top 2-3 and commit early June.

Clemson: "That's a school I was really excited about," said the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Clark. "I hadn't talked to them before I got a message on Facebook from coach Venables inviting me down to their junior day. That was a surprise school that I really liked and I'm really glad I went. I talk to coach Caldwell a lot and I really like the things that he's had to say."

Ohio State: "That was a big offer for me when I got it back in December," he said. "I've been up there twice before, once for a game and once for camp. It's one school I've always really liked. It was one of those schools I really wanted an offer from."

Penn State: "I've liked them ever since I went up there for my first game," Clark said. "Just going up there and seeing the whole atmosphere and everything was pretty cool. They bring great education to the table but they also bring big-time football to the table, that Big Ten style. I really like everything about Penn State and I really like what coach Franklin has going on up there."

South Carolina: "I went to visit there before their junior day and I just felt right at home," he said. "Coach Elliott, coach Spurrier and everybody showed me around. I really liked what I saw there in terms of the program, the facilities, the education and the coaches. I was really impressed with everything."

Tennessee: "I've been to Tennessee a few times as well," said Clark. "Every time I'm there I really feel at home since I've been there so much. I've built a great relationship with the whole coaching staff. Since the first time I was there I knew they would be in my top seven."

Virginia: "They were my first offer and that's a big part of it," he said. "The things I like most about them are the academics and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff. The last time I was at Virginia was for their junior day when the basketball team played Syracuse."

Virginia Tech: "The fact that they are so close to home is a big part of it but so was the visit last week," Clark said. "I got to watch practice and talk to Coach Searels. I got a good feel for how he likes to coach. That is what really solidified their position in the top seven."

Do you like UT's chances?

I'm not sure, I know he likes Tennessee, but I think some of that depends on where he is on Tennessee's board. Also, is he a guard or a tackle? I'm not sure, I know more and more people think of him as a guard than a tackle. Does that change the evaluation?

Yep, as I thought. Jack Jones is headed for RT to back up Coleman Thomas and Drew Richmond, assuming we get him, takes over for Blair at LT. Also a possibility that Thomas moves to C after Crowder graduates and Jones takes RT at that point.

Would be very surprised if this were case. Clark has G written all over him. But I did see the JMO.
