'16 AZ DE Jonathan Kongbo UT Signee 2/3/16

He didn't say. Did say it's not out of the question for him to not sign a NLI and just enroll. His parents are basically refusing to sign

How sad. He's 20 years old, and about to turn 21. He can vote for who he thinks is the best choice to lead our country, but can't make his own decision as to where is the best fit for him to play college football? The parents need to make like Elsa in Frozen and let him go.

Hubbs just reiterated that UT is the only school that can talk to him

Did he explain?

I don't see anything different that an EE that signs a financial aid agreement early. The school he signs with gets freedom of contact but all others schools still can recruit the kid within the NCAA contact rules.

Seems like the same thing to me

What period are we in as far as contact with recruits.

Obviously, Ole Miss isn't going to let NCAA rules stop them from talking to this kid. Hubbs can state the rules all he wants but it really doesn't matter when you're talking about Ole Miss and 5* recruits.

I thought LWS said he would be 21 next month? Then he can sign it himself. Also did Hubbs mention if kongbo only signed the FAA with us? That might explain why OM can't talk to him not that it will stop them from trying... They laugh at the rules apparently.

No idea when he turns 21 but the signing period is over April 1st

After thinking about this...

I don't believe he would have signed without his parents blessing. His culture is very reverent of their elders.

He said his dad will sign when he returns.
