'16 D.C. DE/TE Devante Brooks (UT commit 1/15/15)

We ran a sweep/reverse with one of the TEs back in the day. I forget his name. I remember he was kicked off the team.

Even further "back in the day" against Florida we ran a tight end reverse pass to Von Reeves who threw the TD to Carl Pickens.

When someone uses "steal" in this context, it pretty much always means that the prospect was worthy of a higher rating, but for whatever reason (injury, grades, etc.) they were ranked lower. However, they are expected to come in and play according to their deserved ranking, thus making them a "steal". No, it isn't 100% accurate but I think that is generally the accepted vernacular for this situation.

Thanks for the nice explanation. I guess I don't agree with the term but, I'm just like that. I've learned to be very specific with what I say due to my profession. I would have just said he's underrated, but it's no big deal.

Glad you two kissed and made up.

I'm just curious as to why a big deal is being made about semantics on a football board.
